Chapter 4

*3 months later*

Shayne:

I reached over the couch and playfully flicked Olivia behind the ear. When she looked at me, she did not look pleased.

"What was that for?" She said annoyed.

"I'm bored" I said pretending to pout.

"So you decide to pick on your six month pregnant finance?" She said.

"What'cha doing?" I said.

"Sitting on the couch" Olivia said with a serious face.

"So that's a no on going to Disney?" I said.

"No" She said matter of factly.

I decided against pestering Olivia more and called Damien to see if he was doing anything. Unfortunately he said he couldn't hang out because he and Boze were at a party with Courtney and Keith. Noah and his girlfriend were also out. Dang, guess everyone is busy today. I was about to hop on my PlayStation and play Red Dead before Olivia called me.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Wanna go to the store with me?" She asked grabbing her purse.

"Sure, I'm going a little stir crazy being cooped up in the house all day" I said.

After we left the house we went to the nearest grocery store, which happened to be Ralph's. Apparently we were out of coconut water again, and of course it was my fault according to Olivia. Once we were inside, I went to the drink aisle while Olivia grabbed a cart.

"Hey I like those shoes" A voice said.

I turned and saw a woman smiling.

"Oh yeah, thanks, they're palladiums, they're dope" I said.

"Oh and I really like your whole outfit" She said.

"Thank you so much" I said.

"Yeah no problem" She says and walks away.

Right as she's leaving I see Olivia out of the corner of my eye looking at me.

"She wants to fuck you" Olivia says in a mouse voice.

"Olivia what the hell" I said half embarrassed and half hoping the woman didn't hear her.

"What?" Olivia said.

"She was very nice, it was a very nice compliment" I said.

"A lot of compliments" Olivia said.

"She complimented my shoes and my shirt, I didn't think for one second that it was like hitting on me" I said.

"Maybe I misunderstood" She said.

I nodded.

"I really like your lips on my face" Olivia said mimicking the woman.

"Okay" I said trying to change the topic.

Olivia laughed and grabbed some coconut water and placed it in the cart. We got a couple more groceries before paying and leaving. I loaded the groceries into the trunk and we drove home. After I finished putting the groceries away I went upstairs to change into my workout gear and go for a run. I threw on a black t shirt and shorts with sneakers and headed out the door.

"I'll be back in a little bit" I told Olivia while I left.

I put in my headphones and started jogging down the sidewalk and through the neighborhood. I passed kids playing, cars hurrying to their next appointments and things alike. I almost got ran over by a bike but luckily I jumped out of the way at the last second. I did at least four laps around the neighborhood before heading back home. I wiped the sweat off my forehead before opening the front door and closing it behind me.

"How was your run?" Olivia asked from the kitchen.

"Exhausting" I said chuckling.

"You hungry for dinner?" She asked.

"I can always eat" I said smiling.

"Good because this is almost done" She said.

"Great" I said moving to the table.

"Ah ah ah, what are you doing?" She said.

"Uh sitting down?" I said.

"Not with all that sweat and dirt, go change and wash your hands" She said making a face.

"But mommmm" I said teasing her.

She gave me a look which I already knew what it meant.

"I'll be back in a jiffy" I said heading upstairs.

I went into the bathroom and washed my face. I hopped in the shower and washed up before changing into some comfy clothes and heading downstairs. The food was already on the table when I got there.

"Something smells good" I said.

"Duh, I cooked it" Olivia said rolling her eyes.

"Hmph okay then" I said smiling.

We sat down and dished out the food for us to eat. I have to give her props, it was pretty good. After dinner and the dishes were done we went upstairs to bed.

"Goodnight" I said.

"Goodnight" Olivia said.
