Chapter 11

Shayne:

I was changing Cheyenne's diaper after her bath when I heard a knock on the door.

"I'll get it" Olivia said going to the front door.

I finished up with Cheyenne when Olivia came back over with a strange look.

"There's two men with suits and badges saying they need to talk to you?" She said concerned.

I gave her a confused look before handing her Cheyenne so I could go to the door. There were two men with suits just like she said. Olivia stood behind me with Cheyenne while I talked to the men in our doorway.

"Shayne Topp?" One of them asked.

"Uh yes?" I said.

"We need you to come with us" The other one said.

"What's this about?" I asked still confused.

"Please sir just come with us, well explain on the way" He said grabbing my arm.

I glanced at Olivia quickly before being led out of the house and into the back of their car. After they put me in the back they hopped in the front and started to back out of the driveway. I saw Olivia's face as she stood with Cheyenne watching us drive off. The whole ride the two men didn't talk, we just rode in silence. After some time we pulled up in front of a building. They got out and opened the back door for me to get out. Once I got out I turned around to ask questions but they just got in the car and drove off. I pulled out my phone and was about to call someone when Keith came around a corner.

"Keith?" I said startled.

"You good?" He asked laughing.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"Sorry about that, I told them to make it believable" Keith said chuckling.

"That was you?" I said.

"Well it was also Noah's idea but he's inside" He said.

"You didn't..." I said suspicious.

"C'mon everyone is waiting for you inside" Keith said walking off.

Seeing as I had nowhere else to go and no other choice I followed after him inside. Suddenly I was blasted with a confetti Cannon and loud music. Inside there were tons of people, mostly my friends but also some co-workers and peers. It was a huge room filled to the brim with people, decorations and food. For some reason there was a giant bathtub filled with foam in one of the corners. Another corner had a karaoke machine. Noah walked up next to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Look who it is, the main man himself" Noah said.

"How did you guys manage to put all this together so soon?" I asked.

"Secrets of the trade" He said before leaving to grab a plate of food.

I saw Damien chatting it up with Ian and Joven and decided to go say hello. They were in the middle of a conversation when I interrupted them.

"So how does it feel knowing tonight's the last night before your married?" Joven asked.

"Eh I don't know, feels like any other day" I said honestly.

"I still don't know how you managed to pull Olivia" Damien teased.

"Maybe she has Stockholm syndrome" Ian joked.

"Haha real funny guys" I said sarcastically.

The guys laughed and patted my shoulder in reassurance. Keith came over shortly with sunglasses and party hats for us to wear. They were hot pink with black tints and the hats matched. A new song playing and they dragged us to the dance floor. We were all having fun chatting and attempting to dance. Only Keith could actually dance pretty well. It was a lot of fun though. Somehow I ended up taking a bath in the giant bathtub with rubber ducks while a crowd cheered. Thankfully there was a towel so I wouldn't be wet all night. At some point Keith grabbed me and led me over to the karaoke machine to sing with some people in fancy dresses.

"I thought I told you no girls" I said to Keith.

"They're not girls man, they're drag queens" He said.

"Wait what" I said.

"Meet Rachelle Swallows, Cherry Slims and Honey Grande" Keith said introducing them.

"Hi honey how you doing" Rachelle said in a husky voice.

"I was thinking we could sing 'I wanna dance with somebody' all together" Honey said.

I grabbed a mic while Cherry clapped in anticipation.

Time skip...

At this point in the nigh my stomach is half full of nachos and half full of alcohol. I could tell I was a little drunk so I was about to find a way home. It was pretty late anyways and I had to make sure my stuff was ready for the wedding tommorow. Before I could leave Noah and Keith said I had to chug down two beers in honor of the last day of being single. I obliged and already felt dizzy. Keith ended up calling an Uber for me to go home. Once I left the Uber I went up to my front door to open it. Finding my keys after a few tries I headed inside. I was about to head upstairs when I passed out in front of the stairs.
