A few days had passed and Adia hadn't yet left the house. She constantly walked round the house. Slowly taking everything in. She wasn't used to the quietness of the house. She expected to hear shouting every morning she woke up but she never did. She was sad that there was no shouting in the house. She didn't like it being so quiet. Even though she always wished things would be different and it would be more quiet. She didn't realise how it was really going to be. Adia had taken the picture from Alden's desk drawer and she was constantly staring at it. Not knowing what to think. She done the same with the letter. She had read the letter her mum had wrote her all those years ago so many times. She felt as though she knew it by heart.

Adia sat in the living room watching telly when she heard a sound. It was a quick sound that stopped almost as soon as it started. It sounded like something running not so far away from the house. Adia slowly walked up to the window and looked out. The sound had came from the big forest. The forest didn't scare Adia. You would think that it would but it didn't. She had grown up going into the forest that it was like her home. Alden and Adia would always go to the forest to play as little kids and even when they were older. They still went to the forest to play in the river. Although now Adia had no one to go swimming in the river with. So she didn't bother to go. Or leave the house at all for that matter. She turned back away from the window after looking out and lied back down on the couch. She decided to close her eyes and go for a nap. She needed it because she was so tired because she had hardly slept at all.

Adia woke up and she was in the forest. "What's going on!" Shouted Adia. "Just a sec adi" Called a voice. Out of the trees came Alden. Both Adia and Alden smiled at each other. Alden was caring a bag. "What's that?" Adia Asked. "It doesn't matter" replied Alden. "Come on lets cool down" Alden said as he pushed Adia into the river. Adia laughed as she came up to the surface of the water. "What was that for?!" Laughed Adia. She turned round and Alden was gone. "Alden?...Alden where are you!" Adia called. She got out of the river. She followed the sound of someone crying and shouting in pain. She came to Alden. He was covered in blood and cuts and he was standing up walking towards her. Adia froze to the spot. "Alden?" Adia said quietly and calmly. "RUN!!" Shouted Alden. Adia began to run as fast as she could then she fell on a tree branch that had fallen. She could hear gun shots behind her..

Aida woke up with a fright. She was sitting on the couch in her living room. There wasn't a sound to be heard apart from the wind outside and the sound of her own breathing. "It was just a dream" Adia said to herself standing up. "I need to leave" said Adia. She didn't bother packing anything apart from a few things. She took the picture of all of them as a family she found in Alden's drawer and she letter her mum had wrote her. She placed them both in a small bag and left. Taking one last look in the house before she closed the doors. Then she set out in the direction of the forest.

Sorry this chapter is quite short. The next one will be longer I promise!
