A few weeks had passed at Adia and Damian had decided to take a Ladia's mind off of Alden being dead as much as possible. Summer was on its way. The sun raised earlier every morning and the snow began to melt away. Adia woke up one morning and walked outside. The icicles hanging from the roof of the cottage were melting away. There was a thin layer of snow left on the grass and you could just see the new fresh green grass underneath the snow. The sun beat down on the snow that was left making it sparkle like a thousand diamonds. Adia took a long deep breath of the fresh almost spring air. She stood looking out to the forest. The forest that she had lived in through out pretty much the whole winter. She loved the forest. Even though she almost died of starvation and lost lots of weight. She loved the forest and would live there all over again. Adia felt closest to her brother when she was in the forest. The forest was one of the Fair places Adia could transform without people seeing her. "I'll be back soon!" Adia Called into the house as the ran into the direction of the forest. She skipped and leaped all the way to the forest. Her hair blew in the wind as a large smile filled her face and she giggled with happiness. Just as Adia reached the forest she transformed into her wolf form. Werewolf Adia ran through the forest jumping over fallen trees and branches. Adia reached the river. The very point at the edge of the river where she found Alden when he had been shot. Werewolf Adia changed back into her human form. The grass next to the river hadn't changed since that day. It was the exact same. "Things must go on" Adia thought to herself. The forest hadn't changed since that day but Adia's life had.

Adia began making her way back to the cottage after walking about the forest for a few hours. she got to the cottage and her mum was sitting outside on the porch. The new fresh summer grass blew swiftly in the wind ladia's hair along with it. She was clutching a bouquet of flowers in her hands. Adia slowly walked up and as she did Ladia looked up at her. She smiled at Adia but Adia knew that the smile wasn't real. She could see it in her mums eyes that she wasn't okay and she knew exactly why. quickly Adia came up with an idea. "why don't we make a apple pie?" suggested Adia. Ladia looked up and her eyes shone and a smile filled her face. A real one. Adia had remembered Alden saying years ago that Ladia would always make apple pies on the weekends because they were his favourite.

Ladia and Adia spent the rest of the day in the kitchen making apple pie. The kitchen was full of delicious smells. Damian was lying flat out on a couch in the living room. Adia was told to wake him up so he could set the table for dinner. She took a glass of water and walked over to the couch and pored it onto Damian's head. He woke up with a jump. "What the hell Adia!" shouted Damian as he quickly stood up and started shacking the water out of his hair with his hands. "Dinners almost ready" said Adia throwing the glass in the air and catching it again before she walked away back into the kitchen. They all sat at the dining table in the kitchen and ate a lovely roast dinner. It had chicken with gravy, yorksher puddings, roast potatoes, sausages, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans and sweet corn. After dinner Ladia stood up and took the apple pie out of the oven. Just as she laid it on the table there was a knock at the door. They all looked at each other. "who could that be?" asked Ladia. "I'll get it" said Damian standing up from his seat and walking to the front door to open it. Damian opened the door and a slight smile came upon his face. "Your gonna want to see this" said Damian.
