*Still Zayn's P.O.V.*

I started to take unbutton my shirt off without breaking our kiss.

She took her hair out of it's tie. Kendall was strattling my lap now, my fingers burried deep in her silky blond hair. Her right hand was on my neck, her left on my thigh.

A low growl escaped my throat. I wanted more, but I didn't if she didn't want to.

"Zayn," She broke away.

"I know, I'm sorry," I looked away sheepishly.

"It's okay, I just, just... not today," She looked at me, her eyes full of sorrow, mine full of embarrassment and want.

"I understand," I offered a weak smile.

There was a knock at the door. Louis, shit. I quickly put my shirt back on, and Kendall got under the covers, pretending to be asleep. I opened the door, acted surprised to see Lou, and told him I was just leaving.

"Oh, well, then, let's go back to your room," He said.

We headed that away, which was really just two doors down. I unlocked the door and went immediatley to the kitchenette and began boiling water for tea.

"So, what I wanted to speak with you about my sister." He said, folding his hands in his lap. I tried not to laugh.

"Yeah?"

"How long have you two been dating?" Lou asked as the tea kettle screamed.

I went over to remove it from the burner, then split it into two mugs and added tea bags. I took them over to the coffee table by the couch. "Not long, probably a few days ago?"

"The night we got here?"

"Yes, about then," I nodded.

"You didn't tell me?" Louis was beginning to get mad.

"No, we wanted to tell everyone at the same time," I shrugged.

"But I'm her brother!" He exclaimed.

"I know, but you're also my best friend, and I wanted all of my best friends to know at the same time!" I shouted back.

"Besides the point that you didn't tell me, YOU'RE DATING MY SISTER?" He cried.

"Yes." I replied calmly.

"I saw this coming," he sighed. "You guys were always together back on X Factor."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you,"

"But, is there something going on with her that I should know about? She's been really tired lately... is she sick or someting?" Louis asked, serious for real now.

"Um, n-no, not that I know of," I bit my lip.

"Hmm," Louis looked away, thinking. "I'll go talk to her."

"She's asleep, and she doesn't feel good, I'd give her some space," I told him, knowing that she didn't want to talk about it.

Louis shrugged. "I'll wake her up."

"Good luck," I grunted.

*Kendall's P.O.V.*

I heard another knock on the door, figuring that it was Zayn, I just yelled come in.

"Dolly?" It was Louis.

"Hey, I'm in here," I called as I sat up in bed.

"Hi, love," He said as he kissed me on my forehead and sitting next to me on the bed.

"How was the rest of your day?," I fake yawned.

"It was fun, I can't believe I've never gone sight seeing in New York before! It's beautiful!" Louis exclaimed.

"Yeah, I love it here," I replied, wondering why he was in my room... I was tired and I needed to think before tomorrow night.

"I'll cut to the chase... Is there something going on with you that I should know? Are you sick or something?" He asked, concerned.

That's when I broke down in tears. I sobbed and he pulled me into a hug. I soaked the shoulder of his tee shirt.

"Shhh, it's okay," Louis gently rocked me back and forth in his lap. "You can tell me."

"I-I'm, I have..." I trailed off.

"What? What is it?" He looked at me, holding me at arms length.

"I have cancer," I choked out.

Louis didn't say anything. I felt his body tense. I looked up to meet his eyes only to see that he was staring straight ahead.

"Louis?" I sniffled.

He didn't answer me.

"Lou?"

"Hmmm?" He continued to stare out the window.

"Did you hear what I said?"

He nodded, and looked over at me. He held my face in his hands. "Promise me something?"

"Sure," I said.

"Promise me you won't die. Promise me you'll fight. Promise me you won't let go." Tears welled in Louis' eyes and dripped down his face.

"I'll try my best."
