That night, you tried to find a way to sneak out of your cabin so nobody would notice. You decided to climb out of the window, since it was in the back of the cabin and the door might be too loud.

You put on Vans and silently open the window to climb through. You look around to make sure there wasn't anyone around. There wasn't. You spot Nico standing at the edge of the trees, where he said he would be.

You approach him and he looks relieved. "I thought you wouldn't show up," He whispers.

"Why would I do that?" You whisper back.

"I dunno, I thought you hated me after...y'know." He looked down at his shoes.

"Why would I hate you? I never hated you. I couldn't possibly." You took a step towards him. "Seriously. Wanna hear the truth? I always liked you. Guess I was really good at hiding it. From myself, mostly. I mean, I always thought I liked Percy. Who wouldn't, right? But now I realize that I don't. At all. I still can't believe he lied to Annabeth, just because he was salty-no pun intended-about me rejecting him. Isn't that crazy?" You said this all so causally, and it surprised you that you'd have the courage to admit all that to yourself, let alone to Nico. "That felt good. Sorry. Monologues. I'm talking way too much. Was there anything you-" You were cut off by his lips on yours. Suddenly his hands were on your waist and yours were in his hair and everything was perfect.

(Annabeth's POV)

I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about what (y/n) said. Was Percy really lying to me? He wouldn't do that. Right? But would y/n lie to me? I'm snapped out of my thoughts by a noise outside. Probably just an animal. But how would it get in the camp? I decided to check it out.

I silently open the window and peek out. At first, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but when my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw...was that Nico? With (y/n)? And we're they...?

"No. Way." I quietly whisper to myself and try to close the window quietly, but it slams shut. I cringe and sneak back into bed.

(Your POV)

You turn around quickly. "What was that? It sounded like the slamming of a window," you said a little too loudly.

"We should get back to our cabins. The harpies will have us for dinner if we don't." He turned back to you. "Good talk. Don't tell anyone about this? We have reputations to uphold," he said jokingly.

"Of course not. See you tomorrow?" You tip an imaginary hat and rush towards your cabin.
