It was a hot summer day and you were sitting on your bunk in your cabin. The late afternoon sun was setting outside of the window and it was shimmering on the glitter that was all over your hands from the art project you decided to do. Your mind started to drift off to Percy Jackson, who you've had a crush on for over a year.
And who happened to be in a relationship with your half sister, Annabeth Chase.
In other words, he was off-limits.
Snap out of it! You told yourself as you grabbed the book next to you and flipped to the place you left off.
"Snap out of what?" asked Annabeth from above you, making you jump and drop your book on the floor.
"Nothing," you sighed as you reached to pick your book up. "Did I say that out loud?"
"You did. Snap out of what?" she repeats.
"I have something to tell you." You take a deep breath and start talking. "Soprettymuchivelikedyourboyfriendforthepastyear?" You said it really quickly and asked it like a question.
"Woah, slow down!"
"I may or may not have liked your boyfriend for the past year?"
"What?" Annabeth says. Then she bursts out laughing. "Oh-my-gods!" she says between laughs.
"Don't laugh at me!" You hear a horn. "Besides, it's dinner time."
And you leave the cabin with Annabeth still crying with laughter in your cabin.
