Chapter 19: The plan

The next morning they all sat in a circle to come up with a plan.
"Okay, Aron have you got any information that might help us," Dusk said
"Well, the first thing you should know is that he is really arrogant. He believes that he is the best at everything and that no one can beat him. He is actually a powerful fighter, but he only knows physical moves so if you can keep him at a distance there is nothing he can do.
He also isn't very fast." Aron said,
"we should be able to use that to our advantage, In fact, I think I have an idea, But I need to know how loyal is the village to him?" Dusk asked after a moment of silence.
"Not very loyal, Everybody thinks he is cruel and takes things way to far, but they are terrified of him so they can't do anything to oppose him eighter."
"That's perfect," Dusk said
"What is your plan?' Leo asked curiously
"I am going to challenge him to a duel that will follow certain rules; I am going to bet that if I win I become the leader of the village, then we can imprison him,"
"And how are you going to get him to do that," Alex said
"I am going there and offer him a deal if I win I become the leader, but if he wins I will coöperate in his plans,"
"Are you crazy. That's a huge risk, what if you lose?" Caroline exclaimed
"Have you got any better idea's. I'de love to hear them." Dusk said
Caroline and all the others remained silent.
"Look, guys, I know that it's risky, but I am confided that I can beat him. And we have to do something; we can't outrun him forever. And we can't simply attack the village eighter. We are outnumbered badly, " Dusk said.
Leo sighed, "If you think that you can beat him, then I think we should do it. It's like you said, none of us has better idea's. And I trust that you can indeed beat him,"
"Let's not waste any time, I am going there right now," Dusk said
"We are coming with you," Leo said.
Everyone got to their feet and departed.

They arrived at the village feeling tense. Dusk walked up to the guard.
"You there, I want to talk to your leader, Tell him that I am here," Dusk said
The guard recognized her and immediately ran off to fetch his boss.
A few minutes later he came back followed by an arrogant looking Absol.
"So you finally decided to stop running, smart girl," the Absol said
"No, but I do have a deal for you," Dusk answered
"Let's hear this 'deal' of yours then," Absol said arrogantly
"I challenge you to a duel, If I win I become the leader of this village, but if you win I will surrender, I will not fight back, and you can do with me what you want," Dusk said
Absol laughed, "You wish to fight me, how foolish of you, there is no way you are going to beat me," he said
"Then you have nothing to lose, don't you?" Dusk said, in an effort to persuade him into accepting her offer.
"And do you want any special rules to this fight?" Absol asked rather uninterested.
"Just one, This won't be a battle where we keep fighting until one can't continue, This will be a fight where the first one to completely leave the area loses," Dusk answered confidently
"You've just signed your own death, You're on, kid. We will have a battle in three hours, in front of the entire village,"
And with that, he turned around and walked away.
"Are you sure about this Dusk," Leo asked, "He really does seem confident,"
"Trust me I have a plan, In agreeing to my rules, he gave me a big opportunity. I won't tell you what I am going to do. That way it will be more believable when it happens," Dusk said reassuringly.
