I woke up in the arms of Cody. Zach was sleeping under the table, making me laugh softly when I saw that. But I quickly remembered that we were stuck in here forever unless we give... A sacrifice. I shivered in fear by just the thought of it.
Slowly lifting up Cody's arm, I quietly snuck out of his grip. I gently set his arm down, hearing his soft snores. I smiled at this. Adorable. I thought. I sighed as I stood up. I glanced over to see the pistol on the table. Turning around, I looked at the Two-way window only to see my reflection staring at myself. But I was actually staring at the one behind the mirror. Picking up the gun, I aimed it at the window. "If only it was that easy," I found myself chuckling before setting it back down.
I could hear a small grunt before the table bounced up a bit from Zach. I jumped from the sudden movements but laughed seeing Zach holding his head in pain while crawling out. "Idiot!" I whisper shouted to him. He grinned. "Shut up!" He yelled rather loudly. I hushed him with a hiss but it was no use. Cody groaned getting up, rubbing his neck. "Shit, they don't even give us pillows...?" He questions upset.
"Nope." I said, making the 'P' pop. We all stood around the table, staring at the pistol. "So..." Zach began speaking.
"Do one of us really have to kill ourselves in order for the others to escape...?" Zach asked in a hush manner. I sighed crossing my arms. "Yeah..." I shook my head at the thought. Cody bit the bottom of his lips nervously. "W-we won't do it! I will not allow you to die! None of you! Not Dan or Maxx!" His voice quivered. I gave him a look of sympathy.
"They're fine. I know it. Hey, maybe they found help! And they're probably looking for us as well. I know it." I said strongly. He smiled weakly at me. "Okay... I believe you." Zach punched his shoulder lightly. "Man, if only we had her when you had your anxiety attacks! She would be able to calm you like you putting a baby to sleep." He quickly covered his mouth. Cody looked at him, extremely hurt.
"Sh-shit man... I'm sorry, I really am. Please, don't get upset..." I looked at him confused. Cody backed away from everyone, pulling up the hood of his black hoodie. He walked over to the corner, burying his face into his knees. "Why did he get so upset?" I whispered to Zach. He sighed, motioning me to follow him across the room. "About a couple years ago, Cody had met this lovely girl. She was not only beautiful, but she had a great personality. Eventually, they did the 'thing'. Next thing they know, they were going to be parents. Cody was supposed to be there when she gave birth, but she gave birth to their child a week early. Cody was on tour with us at the time, but we were preparing to leave anyways. Then the apocalypse had started..." He paused.
"He never got to see his baby. His beautiful, baby son. His little Rockstar, as he would call him. He lost both of them. He knew at that moment that his life has officially been crushed. He wanted to leave. He wanted to see them again. His anxiety and panic attacks came quick. Still, he wakes up having a panic attack from a nightmare. They seemed to stop ever since you arrived." I glanced over at the pistol. A wave of pain and guilt rushed through me.
"Don't let him touch that gun. Okay?" I told him sternly, quiet enough to where Cody couldn't hear me. Zach began hesitating but agreed. "Why?" He asked. I paused.
"Zach, he could be suicidal."
I swallowed back my tears. His eyes widened. "D-don't worry... I won't let him touch it. He's been through this too many times-He isn't going to die anytime soon." He suddenly grinned. "Not before me anyways." He joked. I could tell he was trying to brighten the mood, which I showed respect for. I grinned back at him and nodded.
After five hours of long silence and being able to do nothing, we suddenly heard the intercom switch on. We could hear Dr. L's voice come on.
"Still haven't decided on the sacrifice yet? Hm, I see that you guys are rather desperate to die together. No worry's! I have put some gas in the ventilation systems that will suffocate all of you. Unless one of you give in, I will stop this."
