Dan Clermont

I stared at them in both excitement and confusion. Why were they laughing? Where's Cody?

"C'mon,"

I said quietly to them. We all began following them. I passed the room they were in, knowing it was dark so I didn't bother looking in it. Lisa did though, and she gasped as she pointed her flashlight inside. Covering her mouth, I knew something was in there. But we don't have time for this!

"Lisa!" I called her and she turned around. Rushing up to me, she hugged me tightly. "I'm so, so sorry Dan..." I smiled and hugged her back. "No need to apologise. It happens, okay?" She looked at me like I was dumb. "No, it's about your-" "Guys, hurry up! Look!" We both gently pulled away and looked ahead only to see them being thrown inside a room. We all dove into the dark room, waiting for the Crows to pass us. Sighing in relief, we walked out and began rushing towards the room they were thrown in. Looking through the small window on the door, I could see a large chamber with water in it. Dirty water unabling me to see what was inside. Then a sharp blade smashed into it, allowing me to see something slither out. My eyes widened at the sight.

"What the fuck is that!?"

I shouted stepping back. The others took their turns looking. I knew they needed help fast. I began slamming the end of my weapon at the door. That didn't go so well. "Step back," Justin ordered. We all stepped away from the door. He put something over his knuckles. It was like a gauntlet. He threw his fist at the keypad and it got electrocuted. The door slid open, making us all smile.

The snake like monster had it's tail wrapped around Zach, it's blade dangerously close to his neck. Tatiana looked at though she had been thrown, the wall behind her cracked. She slowly looked up at us and her eyes widened. "Take care of the DEB!!" I shouted. Justin took out what looked like ninja stars, making him smirk. Everyone slipped out of the Crow gear, revealing their normal gear. He threw the stars at the Snake, which stabbed right into the back of it's head and back. It let out an explosion, making it roar in pain.

Everyone began doing their own thing to it while I rushed over to help poor Tatiana. "You're alright. We're here to help." I spoke to her softly. I was so happy to see here I couldn't even explain it. I'm so happy their both alive. "It was horrible," She coughed. "They kept us in a small ass room for God knows how long. If we talked we would be sure to get electrocuted. We had to either kill someone or kill ourselves in order to escape... Dan, he's gone."

My eyes widened.

"What?" My voice quivered. She shook her head, tears escaping. "H-he's gone Dan! Cody, he's gone! He shot himself through the eye! He's dead! If only I had just done it myself while I had the chance--" She stopped. Pulling her into a hug, I let my own tears fall.

Cody, my best friend since high school, was gone.

Gone forever.

I'll never be able to see that stupid grin of his again.

I'll never be able to hear his contagious laugh.

I'll never be able to see those blue eyes shine brighter than any of us when we've all completed something together.

Set It Off is dead. And it's never going to be healed after this.

Without Cody, the gasoline to our fire, we're nothing.

What's the point of even continuing if we keep losing each other?

"Dan..." Tatiana looked up at me. "We cannot loose hope. We have to continue. Please. For Cody. For everyone else you love and know. Okay?" I stared at her but slowly nodded. "Of course.." I agreed with her. She nodded back.
