Conner's return

Alexis P.O.V:

I had been kept in class for the whole of break until i felt my phone vibrate in my jeans pocket. I knew i couldn't take it out as Mr Pitch had his eyes fixated on me and would surely take away my phone the second he saw it. I stared at the bright silver clock next to the door waiting for the bell to ring.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" I said inside my head.

*Bell rings*

I quickly got up from out of my chair and left the classroom. I walked along the corridor struggling to find where the bathrooms were. We had only been at the school for a short while so i was still pretty much new to everything. I wandered around endlessly until i stumbled upon a bright blue door with the words "Toliets" written on it. The toliets were spacious and had a large mirror above the sinks. Each stall came equipped with sanitary items and had bright blue doors. I took out my phone and my eyes widened when i saw the notification.

"C-C-ONNER!" i pratically screamed.

The text read "I need to talk to you asap, it's important".

I was confused but continued to be oblivious since i was excited that he had messaged me for the first time since i had left the hospital.

I texted back to meet me at nighthill river at 5pm sharp and walked out of the toliets smiling. When i stepped out of the toliets i saw Hannah, tamica, jem and two girls i had never seen before.

"Oh hey Alex, how was the detention?" said Tamica hugging me.

"Oh...it was alright i guess" I giggled.

"Someone's in a good mood" laughed Jem.

"Well that's because Conner texted me asking me to meet him, says its important" i squeeled not being able to contain myself.

Jem P.O.V:

We all went silent not being sure of what to say.

"What?" asked Alexis.

"Oh it's nothing, and by the way have you met Liane and Serena ?" I stammered, quickly trying to change the subject.

The three quickly started to get on well.

I turned to Hannah and Tamica.

"What are we going to do?" I whispered.

"There's nothing we can do, he's clearly going to tell her" Tamica whispered back.

"Shouldn't we atleast prepare her somehow?" Hannah said looking back at Alexis.

"Fuck's sake, there's nothing we can do. So just act normal" i mumbled.

We turned back to Alexis, Liane and Serena.

Liane P.O.V:

From the way things have already turned out, i'm pretty sure there's going to be a whole lot of drama between this group. I mean, i just hope it doesn't go too wrong.

"Also we've missed about 30 mins of class you guys" I said, looking at the school clock.

"Shit, if we go now then we'll get after school detentions" Jem groaned.

"Anything but that" said Alexis with a worried look on her face.

I walked around in paces, thinking of what to do next.

"Come on guys, lets just head to the library. I've been at this school for years, we just have to blend in with other students. They have a quiet corner where you can talk but you have to be quiet so aslong as we stay there till the end of the day we'll be fine" I said already making my way to the library.

Everyone else followed behind quickly and we were soon at the library.

Hannah P.O.V:

When we arrived we quickly made our way through many book shelves and all the way into the corner of the room. There were two girls there and we got closer we made out their faces.

"Louisa, Tia!" shrieked Tamica.

"SHHHHHH, so i see you've become aquainted with Tia, Louise" Liane whispered.

"It's Louisa and yeah i have, hey guys come join us" Laughed louisa.

Everyone laughed and talked but as time went by all i could think about was what Alexis had said about conners text. I even thought of texting him myself, but i stopped myself before pressing send. I had a feeling that everything would soon enough come crashing down.

Alexis P.O.V:

4pm.

The school bell rang and i quickly got up and waved goodbye to all my friends before darting out of the gates and down the road. I was running as fast as my legs could carry me. Within minutes i had reached the bustop which would have usually taken me 30 minutes on a regular day. I looked at my phone 4:10pm.

A bus arrived seconds later and i got on. There were very few people on the bus since i was early and the rest of the students were probably taking there time like i would've. The bus drove fast and i managed to fall asleep. I woke up just as the driver pulled up at my stop and thanked him as i ran inside my house.

I quickly dragged off the uniform and put on a red turtleneck along with black leggings and red air-maxes. I had wasted a little time changing and now it was 4:25. I ran back outside to catch the bus which i knew would now be packed from students from my school. The bus sure enough arrived 5 minutes later and it was packed.

30 mins later.

The bus pulled up at the park and as i walked in i could see conner sitting on the same bench with his head in his hands. I sat down next to him and smiled.

"Hey Conner" i laughed giving him a hug.

"Listen Alex..."he said holding my hands and looking into my eyes.

I was silent.

"I'm breaking up with you, not because i want to but because i'm moving really far away from here and i won't be returning ever again" He said.

I pushed him off of me and i walked towards to river. Breaking up? Me and Conner. OVER? FINISHED? JUST LIKE THAT? All these thoughts were racing through my head and tears streamed down my face.

"Alex, i'm-"

"Fucking save it Conner, i told myself it was wrong. I told myself i should've never fucking dated you and know you're going to break up with me just like you did to Teagan and go find another girl to do the same thing to! Was that it Conner, another girl you wanted to mess around with?! You know what, i don't even care fuck you" I yelled running out of the park with tears streaming down my face.
