Chapter 16: You are bold! (R21)

Welcome back folks! The last time we left Shirley telling Liam that she's pregnant! Poor Liam is still in disbelief. Let's see what's up with the gang this time.

Penthouse Suite .. 

"I'm gonna head to bed.. " Ivan stood up from the couch and gave himself a small stretch. He decided it was enough of hanging out and chilling and there is work tomorrow.

" Me too.." It was Sean's turn to give out a small yawn. Standing up slowly.. Yawns are contagious, therefore, Julie yawned as well..

" Go home and rest.." Anna faced her best friend who is all teary eyed because of the yawn.

" You sure?" She asked, placing her hand on Anna's thigh.. She didn't want to leave her alone, but honestly she was rather exhausted.

" I'm sure.." she manage to give Julie her smile. A small but genuine smile. Her first genuine smile after Shirley's bombs her the news of her bundle of joy.

" If there is anything, anything at all.. Call me" She told Anna sternly earning a few nods from her..

" Bye guys .." she stood up and waved at her best friend. Julie gave her a hug before heading out the penthouse with her boyfriend..

" Go.. Good night.." she looked at the two boys who was exhausted.. She know they all care for her, wanting to stay for her but hey, they have their own life too. She was already bothering them the whole night .. They hung out, chatted and accompanied each other till midnight..

Sean and Ivan gave her a smile before heading to their rooms after saying their usual good nights.. The moment she turned, she saw Alex bending down to clear the empty cans and cups.. She immediately went over, gently placing her hand on his arm.

" Leave it.. I will do it ... " Anna squat down next to the coffee table, clearing the empty chips packets, stacking the empty cans into the empty glasses and headed to the kitchen to throw it in the bin. She cleaned the coffee table that is covered with small puddles of spilt beer, chip crumbs and whatever that was left behind with the damped cloth.. Her attention went to Alex who was standing and leaning on the living room's ceiling to wall window, looking out and probably too deep in thoughts to admire the beautiful city and street lights.

She placed the damp cloth at the kitchen sink and walked towards him, standing beside him, his attention only turned to her when he felt a presence beside him..

" The night is beautiful.." Anna spoke with a small smile while looking straight ahead of her. "You are beautiful" was the only reply that came in to his mind but he held back those words from coming out loud. The scenery in front of them was amazing and peaceful but his attention was not on the scenery. The moment she stood right next to him, his eyes were on her. He could see her lips curved into a small smile as she admired the night, oblivious to him admiring at her instead of the view.

Alex, ask her out, I know you want to.

" Do you want to go out for a walk??" he decided to ask her. He was more than happy to accompany her out for a walk and spend more time with her..

" Alright ..." She needed the walk to clear her mind. She needed the fresh air and hopefully it could help her to relax from the stressful situation she was in. Alex didn't expect her to say yes. But well.. He was happy.

As they walk down the streets, they could feel the cold breeze blew mildly against their faces.. The wind made her hair fly and danced around with it. Her arms naturally folding in front of her to block the wind that gushed past them. She felt a warm jacket draped on her shoulders and she instinctively turned to face Alex. The warmth she felt from the jacket felt like it was protecting her. The scent emitting out from the jacket was comforting but yet different from the smell she was used to. This made her recalled the scent of Liam from his jacket and it made her miss him more.
