Chapter Twenty Three

Paxton's POV
I wake up to my phone ringing. I check the caller ID to see it's a unknown number I answer the phone and some one begins to talk. "Hello is this Rose Winters Boyfriend" the lady in the other line said. "Yes. Um what is this about" I ask. "Well Alice has you Paxton Summers and her daughter Rose Winters down. We had spoken to Rose a few days ago and she had said to talk to you about Alice's funeral" she said. "Um okay but is there another time to do this I'm a little bit busy" I said grabbing a pair of underwear. "Oh of course" the nice lady said. "Our number should be in your recent calls do just expect another phone call later today" she said before I heard the line go dead. I threw my phone on the bed and grabbed a pair of pants and headed to the shower.
"Babe are you in the shower" Rose asks clearly just waking up. "Yeah. Wanna join" I ask putting shampoo in my hair. "No I'm going to go make breakfast" she said closing the bedroom door. I finish taking a shower before putting on an outfit. I grab a pair of black skinny jeans and slip them on before walking out of the bathroom and downstairs to help make breakfast not even bothering to put a shirt on sense Rose knows I cut and I have actually been going to the gym recently.
"Good morning beautiful" I say to Rose wrapping my arms around her and kiss the crook of her neck. "Good morning" she says before moving out of my arms and putting the food on the table. As Rose sits down I hear a knock at the front door. "I will get it" I say walking out of the kitchen. I open the door to see my cousin Ash standing there with his keys and a suitcase in his hand right along with a bruised cheek. " Ashton what happened" I say moving to the side to let him in. "My dad had tried to rape me like he did to you. I hit him and then he punched me I ran to my room and grabbed what clothes I could and drove here" Ash says a tear slipping from his eyes. I pull him into a hug before saying "I will talk to Rose and see if you can stay here" I say. "Now come eat breakfast. "Okay" Ashton follows me into the kitchen before looking at a 6 week pregnant Rose eating bacon. "Oh Ashton I have heard so much about you" Rose says getting up and hugging him. She comes to me and gives me a quick peck on the lips before speaking. "I am going to take a shower but make sure he eats" she says pointing to Ash. "Okay"I say pecking her lips and she goes to the stairs. "Make yourself a plate and sit down" I say gesturing towards the food. After me and Ash are we decided to play some video games. "Babe I think we should redo the house" Rose said looking around at all the photos of her mom and dad. "Okay. We will start this evening" I say starting a new round of Call of Duty.

Later that day
Me and Rose decided to take a little nap before we started to redo the house. I am currently laying in bed with Rose snuggled into my side. I had my stitches removed yesterday.
