Imagine for Morgan♡

I pressed the 'accept call' button as Austin's face popped up on my phone. It's been a long time since we've had a FaceTime.
"Hey baby." Austin smiles. I push a soft grin back.
"Hi."
I sit on the couch and pull my knees up to my chest, holding my phone out in front of me.
"How's it been?" he asks, licking his lips.
"Alright..." I shrug.
"Morgan, I know you're upset that I can't be home for our anniversary. I am too."
"I just miss you. A lot." I sigh.
He nods, "I miss you too. Just one more week, and then we're free to do whatever you want."
I smile at the sound of being with him again. One week, okay, that's not too bad.
"Where are you right now?" I ask.
He looks around the bus for a few seconds.
"Um, Chicago I think."
I frown. I wish he was here in California.
"So what is a beautiful young lady like you doing at home all day?" Austin teases.
"Missing my boyfriend." I pout.
"Your boyfriend? You're seeing someone else? How could you do this to me?" He pretends to be offended but we both end up laughing in the end.
"Why don't you go shopping or grab some dinner. I'll call your favorite restaurant and make a reservation for you." Austin smiles genuinely.
"No, no, you don't have to. I'm fine cooking for myself." I object, shaking my head.
"But you need to be happy, Morgan. Eating by yourself with Romo is not acceptable for me."
I bite my lower lip, glancing at the cat sitting next to me.
"I'm calling Olive Garden and you're going to treat yourself to a nice dinner whether you like it or not."
I make a face at Austin and he's already calling.
Having dinner alone at a restaurant? No thank you.
"Austin, you know I don't like going out by myself for dinner."
"Well you are today. Get dressed and go have some fun. I hate seeing you sad." He protests.
There really isn't a reason to argue, he's going to win anyway.
"Fine." I inhale and watch as he smiles with glee.
"Go." He encourages.
"Alright, alright, I'm getting dressed."
"Good. I love you."
"I love you too."
He hangs up not long after and I trudge towards the bedroom to get myself changed.
What am I thinking? Go to dinner alone. No one to talk to. Wow, that's pretty sad.
I slip on a casual dress and a cardigan before putting on some wedges. This is fine, right? I fix my make up and before I know it, I'm on the road.
Olive Garden was Austin and I's favorite restaurant so I knew the route by heart. Five minutes later, I'm in the parking lot, stepping out of the car and waking towards the restaurant.
I can see a line of people inside, so there must be a lot of guests. I enter the warm building and the lady at the front counter smiles at me.
"Hey Morgan." She motions for me to follow her. The staff here know me well because of Austin.
We walk past many full tables and reach a booth in the very back. It seems occupied though, so I'm very confused as to why she brought me here.
The person in the booth turns around and my jaw drops, tears in my eyes.
"Austin," I gasp and he stands, pulling me into a tight embrace. I nuzzle into his neck as he kisses the top of my head. "Oh my gosh..."
"I know." He chuckles and we loosen our grip on each other.
"Wha-... How ar-... When did you..." I was speechless and all I wanted to do was squeeze him tightly and never let go.
"I just got home." He smiles and cups my cheek in his hand, wiping a tear with his thumb.
I'm so overwhelmed and I push my lips to his, kissing him with the most passion in the world. I miss his lips.
"Shall we eat?" He pulls away. I nod as we take our seats across from each other in the booth.
I'm not even focused on the menu right now. All I want to talk about is Austin. He's staring at the menu while I'm staring at him.
Austin looks up and notices I haven't taken my eyes off him. Grinning, he reaches for my hand and holds it in his.
"You missed me, didn't you?"
A smile kisses at my lips, "More than you know."
We order our meals and sit patiently, waiting for our food to arrive. I decide to start up some small talk.
"How was the tour?"
"It was great." Austin chuckles.
"Are you leaving again?" I ask cautiously. I really hope he doesn't.
He shakes his head and the smile on my face grows bigger.
"I'm all yours baby."
When dinner is finished, we take our time talking and talking until finally, we decide to get up and leave. Austin holds my hand in his and squeezed it tightly.
It's a bit chilly out so I stand closely to Austin, his warmth welcoming.
"How did you get here?" I look up at him.
"Alex dropped me off so that means we're taking your car." He looks up to the dark sky briefly.
"You're not going to make me drive, are you?" I pretend to sound shocked and rest my head on his shoulder.
"I don't know, I'm feeling kind of tired right now." He fakes a yawn.
We almost reach the car but he leans all his weight on me like he's fallen asleep. I can see the smile on his face. I struggled to hold him up and giggle at him.
"I hate you..." I laugh jokingly as he wraps his arms around me, squeezing the breath out of my lungs.
"Oh don't lie, you love me." he kisses my forehead.
I smile again, "More than you know."
