Imagine for Rosie

"This is the place?" I asked, my eyes widening at the fancy restaurant in front of me. Austin nodded, out stretching his arm to wrap around my waist. He pulled me towards him so I was basically pressed to his chest. Placing a kiss on my forehead, he began to lead me inside. We had a reservation with both of our families tonight and so far we were on time, surprisingly.

"Reservation for Mahone." Austin spoke with the front desk. I stood in the waiting area while I watched him. The petite lady looked at her computer screen and typed a few things before looking back at Austin. They exchanged a few words that I couldn't hear, since I was standing so far away. Then Austin began walking towards me with a wide smile.

He stretched his hand out for me and I took it without hesitation, following him. Our waiter led us throughout the restaurant to a fairly large table where the rest of our families sat. We both greeted them with warm hugs and happy smiles before taking our seats.

"Long time no see Rosie." Michele smiled next to me, touching my hand lightly.

My lips curved into a smile as well.

"It's nice to see you."

It was true. Michele was like my best friend. She understood everything I was going through just as well as my friends would. She and my mother are also very close and I often come home to see them cooking together or creating their own facials out of avocado.

"Did I mention that you look stunning tonight?" Austin leaned into my ear and whispered softly, his breath hitting my skin cooly.

"You're so sweet." I giggled, nudging his shoulder as he planted a lingering kiss in my cheek.

He fixed his collared shirt and brushed off his suit. I smiled, rolling my eyes at him; he always had to be so clean and perfect.

Dinner was delightful. Austin had chosen to have our meal at a five star restaurant and I'm glad he did because the food was magnificent. I enjoyed my salad and savored every bit of my Filet Mignon. I'm a sucker for fancy food. It was getting down to dessert and the menu for today called for some Baked Alaska.

The restaurant didn't seem very noisy, though they usually aren't considering most of us were just enjoying our meals. Oddly, this time it was unusually quiet. I couldn't help but wonder what everyone was up to but when I glanced up from my dessert, I noticed Austin was not here. How did I not notice that? He was sitting right next to me.

The restaurant had become dead silent now and I was confused out of my mind. "What's going on?" I whispered to Michele who only looked at me with a wide smile.

"See for yourself." She nodded her head towards something behind me. I slowly craned my head around and nearly jumped out of my skin at the sight in front of me.

"Hello, Rosie." Austin coudln't seem to stop smiling. I was nearly in tears just by those words as I knew already what he was going to do next.

"Hi, Austin." I giggled, watching him pull something out of his suit pocket. I bit my lip as I tried my best to hold in all the emotions I was feeling. Happiness, Excitement, Loved.

He adjusted the knee he was already kneeling on and cleared his throat to begin talking.

Tables around us were quietly whispering to each other about what was about to happen and I was growing more and more anxious to hear the words come out of his mouth.

"I know you don't like long speeches," He began. It was true, I wasn't very fond of them. They were so boring and time consuming, lecturing the same topic. "but you're going to have to make an exception."

I laughed at his statement and nodded for him to go on.

"When I met you four years ago, I was honestly so relieved. Relieved that I had found such an angel like you to call mine. You know, it doesn't happen to everyone. And I'm glad I was blessed with a miracle like you. Through the four years, I loved you and will continue to love you. I loved waking up next to you every morning, and making us coffee after we've spent an hour in bed doing nothing after waking up. I loved the way you lived your life as if no one was watching but you knew, I'd always be. I can't express how happy I am with you. So to end this ridiculously put together speech, will you marry me?"

He opened the tiny, velvet box to reveal the most beautiful diamond ring sitting in the center.

I wiped a tear off my face and softly whispered, "Yes, of course."

His smile grew bigger as if that were even possible. Removing the ring from the box, he slid it onto my ring finger and I admired it for a while, wondering how beautiful such a small object could be. Austin and I stood up simultaneously and I wrapped my shaking arms around his neck, embracing him into a hug. As soon as I pulled away, he said joyfully, "She said yes!". The whole restaurant began clapping and I blushed, hiding my face in Austin's chest as I heard him chuckle, stroking the back of my hair lovingly.

"I can't believe this." I said, laughing to myself. "Did you set this all up? With our parents and everything?"

I was told by Austin that we were just going to have a small dinner with our families since we haven't seen them in a long while.

"Yes ma'am, I did." He replied proudly.

I smiled and brought his face closer to mine, until I was able to press my lips against his in the most passionate manner.

"I still can't believe this." I took a breath, gazing into his eyes.

My subconsious slowly began to make it's appearance in my mind. Well believe it. Cause you're engaged to Austin Mahone.
