The sun has finally risen again over Trench. The scent of fire and smoke fills the air as Dema is burned to the ground. In a way, everybody is finally free from their burdens. Those who survived, like me...I don't know what is in store for us all. I am still strongly going alone, the fear still riding and falling steadily and unsteadily in my soul as it weighs heavily on my heart. I found an abandoned cave a few days ago, filled with Bandito tents burned and bloody. I also found two things: a jumpsuit, and a journal. Fascinating, isn't it? The journal is filled with the most beautiful words and drawings I've seen. The more I read the lyrics and words the more I'm filled with a warmth I cannot quite name. I realized a bit ago it belongs to the boy who stood looking at the Banditos throwing down yellow petals so long ago. I determined his name at the beginning of the journal, so the wonder of a human now has a name: Tyler Joseph. The journal began with: they told me I didn't have a name, so they called me Classified. They were wrong. My name is Tyler Joseph. Josh calls me Ty. But one thing is for sure. Dema don't control us.
I hold this journal with the utmost fascination. Who is this Tyler? What is his story? Is he still alive? The journal states this is a mere backup copy. I hope this Tyler still has his original. He is going amazing places if he is still well.
Now I am forced to leave Trench and journey into the unknown. I don't know where I'm going, but I know I can trust it somehow.
I look up now at the top of Trench's canyons and valleys and I can see the silent figures of the Banditos slowly fading. I smile sadly. I remember saying welcome to Trench so long ago. Now the words I murmur are different.
"Goodbye, Trench."
