Chapter 9: the realization

TANYAS POV

"who was it?" Katie asked as they all settled down.

I smiled and looked at Kiana signaling her who it was. she gave me a look back like she knew who it was.

"It. it was..." I paused for a second realizing who I just was talking to.

"It was who?" Rian said alittle annoyed I haven't answered yet.

"Calum." I said and they all stared at me.

It was silent for a moment.

"Did you just say what I think you just said?" Rian said trying to clarify what I just told her.

"Yes. she was talking to him."kiana screamed. she talked to calum freaking hood!" she continued screaming.

They looked at me to make sure she was telling the truth. I smiled then we went back into the group hug screaming again.

CALUMS POV

"Your band can open up for us if you want." I said spitting out

I didn't hear anything. then I heard whispers then cheerful screams. then more low talking.

"We'll do it." Tanya said

This was great. we have our first opening act. wow I never thought id say that. I put my phone in my pocket. we also had just got back to the house

"We have an opening act." I say walking out to our backyard to the guys In the pool.

"Really?" Michael says.

"Yup. they said yes." I said putting my stuff down to get in the pool.

"Wow. I can't believe we have an opening act. us. 5 seconds of summer. this is amazing." ashton said

"Ok enough of that time to have some fun." Luke said then dunked ashton.

**That night**

I was about to go to sleep then I remembered I had to text Tanya the info. After I did I decided to watch tv for a little.

TANYAS POV

I had just gotten home from covering another song for our channel. I checked my phone hopping calum had texted me. even tho it was just about us opening for them I couldnt wait to see a text from him. he's my fav so.. My phone had 2 unread messages. 1 from my mom and one from calum. yes. it was the dates for our tour and the places. I texted him back with a👍. I laid down thinking about the tour then I realized. those dates are in a few weeks. I went to fave time Kiana.

"Hey." she said

"Hey." I said back

"What's wrong?" she asked knowing something was up.

"Calum texted me." I said with a smile.

"That's great! why come you don't sound that happy about it?" she asked

"Tour starts in a few weeks." I said looking at her face in my screen.

"So. what's wrong with that?" she giggled alittle

"Cause. my mom doesn't know I'm going on tour for like 2 months." I said showing that my mom won't like that.

"Oh. yeah. I forgot to tell my mom too." she said remembering that none of us told our parents.

"Can't you tell your mom now?" I asked her

She shook her head and walked to her mom.

"Hey mom." she said I the sweetest tone she could make.

"Yes sweetie." I mom said

"Can I ask you a hypothetical question?" she asked

I heard her mom move a little.

"Sure." her mom said

"How would you feel if me and the girls went in tour?" she asked

I could tell she have her a look.

"Mom c mon answer the question." she whined

"Why are you asking this question?" she asked

"I was just wondering." she said

"Oh and let's add some detail on. sat it was for.. mm. 2 months. and let's say it starts in a few weeks." she said to her mom hoping the answer would be one she wanted.

"I don't think id be okay with that." she said

"What?" Kiana asked her mom looking a little sad.

"You heard me.why what's Wrong?" Her mom asked her." It's not like it's actually happening" her mom continued

"But. mom. it is." she said looking at her In The eyes.

"What!" her mom said

"We re going on tour In A few weeks." she said looking down again.

"No your not." she said

"Mom we already said yes." Kiana said

I think her mom told her to leave cause she got up a went back to the room she was in before.

"Don't worry. I'll talk her into it." Kiana said laying down

"How?" I asked her

"Rian." she said giving me a duh look.

"what about your mom?" she asked

"Not home. she went out." I said

"Oh well we ll talk about it tomorrow then. huh?" Kiana said

"Yup. see ya" I said smiling before she hung up.
