Dae's POV

New year, new me; right?

I thought as I got out of my bed. I yawned and rubbed my eyes, fully taking in my surroundings. I wasn't in my room! Shit! This is so not what I meant by 'new me'. I checked to see whether I still had my clothes on but instead of the silver dress I wore, I had on a pair of boxers and an oversized men's shirt. I looked around and realized I was in Jackson's bedroom, but if I was in here, where was Jackson? I was just about to go look for him when the door of the bedroom opened and he walked in.

"Well good morning sleepy head," He said and laughed while walking towards me.

"Morning Jackson. We didn't um, do anything last night, did we?" I asked.

"Us!? Of course not, you're my best friend Dae, I would never do anything to jeopardize our friendship." He said dramatically whilst putting a hand over his 'heart'.

"Your heart is on the other side you idiot." I said and laughed.

"Oh shit, yeah, well you know what I mean." He said and grinned.

"Hey, um, do you remember what happened last night? What am i doing here?" I asked him, he looked and me and I could see the mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Well, we drank a bit at the party but then we left and you came home with me and we got drunk as fuck here and then you started rambling about our favorite playboy billionaire and how he's never going to go for someone like you, but then you were like 'but he's so hot, ugh' and you told me about how you wish he was different because then you'd actually like him even more than you already do. You just carried on about him for like an hour and then we drank some more and you passed out here so I slept in one of the guest rooms and now we're here." He finished and grinned.

My face was as red as a tomato, I couldn't believe that I told him all of that.

"I really said all that?" I asked and looked away.

"Yeah, anyway, we were drunk; maybe you more than me. So you need to go freshen up princess, there's a new toothbrush in the bathroom and I'll leave out some clothes that you can change into along with a towel on the bed," He told me and sighed. "Don't worry Dae, I won't tell anyone if you don't want me too."

"Thanks Jackson." I said and turned to him and gave him a small smile.

He got up and left, leaving me to my thoughts.

I can't believe I did that. What is wrong with me?!

I sighed and went to get ready, Jackson left out a pair of jeans I had left at his place and he gave me one of his T-shirt's, which was a little big on me but it was fine.
I was sitting on the loveseat with Jackson, drinking coffee and talking about anything and everything when we heard shouting coming from above us.

"THE FIRST PLACE...FUCK A GIRL... MY PENTHOUSE?! ... HALF NAKED!" Was all I could make out from the shouting.

"Um Jackson? Do you know who that is." I turned to him and asked.

He sighed, he seemed to be doing that a lot. "That, is Aiden Locasin, you may know him as the founder of Sky hotels or- never mind. You wanna see what's going on? They're only a floor up, we can hide on the stairs."

"Okay yeah, let's go." I replied and hopped off the couch.

I left my shoes because they were pretty uncomfortable and waited for Jackson. We walked up the flight of stairs and stopped just a few steps down, we could clearly see the door from where we are and we could hear almost everything.

"What do you think is going on?" I whispered.

"Honestly, I don't know, he never makes this much noise." Jackson said and looked at me.

We waited by the stairs until I saw someone walk through the door. My heart stopped, it was Rain Laurent, the girl Peter Argent left with at the party. What was she doing here?
I turned to Jackson and poked him and then turned in her direction. She was wearing the same dress from the party and she had tied her hair up in a bun.

"Isn't that the girl Argent left with? What's she doing here?" Jackson whispered.

I shrugged my shoulders and carried on watching her, she was waiting for the elevator to come and when it came, she stepped into it and left. I was about to leave when I heard voices from the other side of the door and then the handle was being turned, I looked at Jackson and we hid again. I turned to Jackson to say something when he put a finger to his lips and pointed to the door, it was opening and out from it stepped Peter Argent with a smile on his face.

"I didn't know he could smile? Oh and, did I mention that Locasin is Peter Argents best mate? Oh well." Jackson whispered jokingly and almost questioningly.

I looked back at Peter who was still smiling while pressing the button for the elevator, his shirt was crumpled and untucked and his hair was messy. I felt my mood get even worse as I now had an idea of what him and Rain did when they left. I turned to Jackson and sighed and then left.
Just great, I just saw the guy I'm attracted to leave with another girl after doing who knows what.
I was lost in my thoughts when Jackson opened the door and walked in. He looked at me and then went in the direction of the kitchen. He was probably hungry or something. I sat there on the couch and played games with my phone, anything to get my mind off of Peter Argent. Jackson came back with two mugs of some steaming liquid in them and a blanket.

"Here, I made you my special hot chocolate and brought and blanket, I thought we could watch a movie or something." He said and smiled at me understandingly whilst handing me the hot chocolate.

"If I remember anything about your hot chocolate," I said and then took a sip, I tasted the familiar taste of chocolate and then the burn of alcohol, I laughed and carried on. "Yup, it's that there's always more alcohol than hot chocolate in it."

He winked at me and then laughed, he handed me the blanket and sat down next to me. I draped the blanket over us and picked up my hot chocolate.

"So, what do you want to watch?" He asked me.

Well, I'm sad so I guess something funny?

"Umm, a comedy? I don't know which one though." I said and gave him a small smile.

"I've got just the thing, so sit back and relax princess, coz you're in for a laugh." He said and grinned and me.

After that, we both began to laugh and then he finally calmed down enough to switch the movie on. He looked at me and I put my hot chocolate down and cuddled up against him, he somehow freed his arm and wrapped it around me and we lay there watching the movie and drinking his 'special' hot chocolate.
And in that moment in time, everything I was sad or worried about had been forgotten because I was with my best friend and he somehow always knew how to make me feel better.
