It was a normal Monday. Classes were about to begin at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman were rushing to class.
"Come on Josie hurry up I can't be late to class anymore." Lizzie said while pulling her sister along after her. "I'm sorry Lizzie but you asked me to carry your books because you wanted to fix your hair on the way there and I'm happy to do so because I have free period but I'm not going to start sprinting." Josie said calmly. "Fine then. But I'm gonna go. Can you bring me my books after class?" Lizzy sprinted off without waiting for an answer. "Okay uhm.. bye. But what are you going to do without your books? Lizzie, Lizzie!" Josie yelled.
"I'll figure it out"
As Josie turned around to head back to her room she walked right into a girl. All of the books she was carrying fell on the floor "Wow, are you okay?" The girl asked. "Yeah, I'm fine!"
"Do you need help, I mean those look like a lot?" she bent down to pick up the books. "I'm Penelope by the way" she smiled. "Yeah, I know" Josie clearly answered without thinking about her choice of words.
"Oh." Penelope smiled, "so you know me? Am I that infamous at this school."
Josie smiled, "Don't get so cooky, we've had a couple of classes together here and there." Josie laughed. "Well I'm Josie Saltzman..."
Penelope interrupted Josie "The headmasters daughter, I know who you are, you're the infamous one."
"So where are we heading?" Penelope asked.
"What?" Josie asked.
"The books?" Penelope said.
"Oh Yeah, uhm... I have free period, I was just going to go back to my room." Josie hesitated. "Well lead the way." Penelope gestured at the empty hallways. Josie lead the way back to her room. After entering Penelope put the books down on Josie's bed. "Nice room, it's cute." she said sarcastically. "Well most of the posters and decorations are from my sister."
Penelope looked around. "And where are your posters?"
"Well Lizzie doesn't really like my style so..."
"So you don't have a say on what hangs on the wall of your own room?" Penelope asked in disbelief. "That's so sad"
"Well I'm not very creative anyway, I bet this room would look way worse if I had decorated it." Josie said while putting the books down on her bed. "I doubt that. You seem like the artsy type"
"The artsy type? What's that supposed to mean?" Josie asked looking down at herself. "Well you don't talk much but your the headmasters daughter which makes you seem powerful but you also have a very loud sister which makes you look real calm in comparison. Nobody really knows anything about you which makes you mysterious." Penelope said. "Being mysterious doesn't make me artsy though, now does it?" Josie interrupted Penelope who had been walking around taking a closer look at everything. Penelope sat down on Josie's bed.
"Your right it doesn't but I've seen you scribble in your Notebooks," she said as she opened one of the books on Josie's bed. It was one of Josie's Notebooks. "This stuff is pretty good," she said.
"Hey that's private!" Josie said ripping the book out of Penelope's hands. "Wow, handsy!" Penelope laughed biting her lip. Josie's facial expression changed drastically. "What about you? What's on the walls in your room?" Josie asked trying to change the subject. "Well your going to have to come over to find out." Penelope smirked as she opened the door, "later Josie" she said as left.
