It was 8 PM.  After a long day off school Josie let herself fall onto her bed. She looked up at the sealing reminiscing about the wonderful date she had with Penelope earlier. She was still fascinated at what Penelope would do for her.

How did she even mange do all that, set up a fancy dinner table and cook some of the most amazing food Josie had ever eaten. She didn't even care that the date was during first period and it was not nearly late enough for lamb chops. She was just so amazed by the way Penelope could stay so engaged in conversation while cooking up their meals. Didn't matter what topic she always had something smart, funny or clever to contribute to the conversation.

Josie was off in her own little headspace when her twin walked into the room. Josie sat up on her bed and waved at Lizzie, who seemed to be in a hurry.

"Hey Jo, can't talk have to go, long story short, I have a date." Lizzie said while she was pacing  through the room. "And before you ask it's a different guy."

"Wow." Josie said but she was not really surprised, Lizzie did this all the time, it was her way of not letting people in and staying the center of attention.

"Speaking of dates, Dad gave yours detention." Lizzie said while walking out of the room.

"What why?" Josie looked at Lizzie.

"I don't know, something about the kitchen I think. Pretty sure she's still there."

Lizzie slammed the door.

Josie knew exactly what this was about, she didn't know all the details but she couldn't help but feel partially responsible. The two had left quite a mess. Josie did offer to help but Penelope shut her down and told her to go to class.

She felt bad not having stayed and helped, so she heaved herself out of bed and made her way to the kitchen.

Josie stoped in the door frame of the kitchen, Penelope was sorting food into pantries. Josie was confused the kitchen was sparkling it was even cleaner than this morning. Penelope noticed Josie out of the corner of her eye.

"Hey there stranger are you just gonna stare or are you gonna come in?" she said jokingly.

Josie got flustered but she didn't show it. "I heard you got detention?"

"You heard correct."  Penelope said, then she smiled. "Your dad has me stocking the pantries, no magic allowed, apparently he doesn't like the influence I have on you." Penelope gave Josie a dark stare, to her it was all in good fun but Josie didn't pick up on the joke and was extremely  embarrassed.

"Wait, I thought it was because of the mess,"

"Oh no the mess was cleaned up before anyone got here but somehow your Dad found out you skipped class with me and then he found out we used the kitchen. He kinda freaked out on me and gave me this speech about how if I'm going to be dating you, I need to basically not be me. Penelope laughed.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry, I can't believe that he would do this." Josie was so embarrassed she was now nervously pacing around in the kitchen. She really liked this girl and she was scared that her father was going to scare her away.

Penelope who noticed how nervous Josie was and immediately comforted her. "It's okay, he's just being a protective father, can you blame him? I don't really have a take me home to meet you parents kind of rep. I've been in his office a lot, the man knows me."

Josie started to look a bit more relived. "So your not scared of by the hole your girlfriends Dad is the principal of your boarding school thing."

"No of course not! Oh and no offence but I could never be afraid of your Dad, he's just not that scary. You know. Seeing that we have werwolves, vampires, witches and tribrids running around in these halls." Penelope smiled at Josie.

Josie tried to hold back her smile.

"So you didn't protest me calling you my girlfriend, does that mean we are official?" Josie asked Penelope to change the topic.

"Only if you'll can change some of your classes so we can see each other more, and you can cuddle up to me in class so I can make all my friends jealous of my wonderful, beautiful and amazing girlfriend." Penelope smirked.

"Why am doing all of the work?" Josie smirked back pretending to be offended.

"Oh trust me I'll put in work." Penelope said as she pulled her girlfriend in close, looked her in the eye's and kissed her.

"Btw how does your Dad even know we are dating?" Penelope said pulling away from Josie's lips.

"Probably Lizzie but who cares." Josie said frantically not wanting to spoil the moment and start kissing her girlfriend again.
