Clois: Batman

Trust

(The Joker and Lex drove through Gotham in an ice cream truck)

Lex: "So you want to kill Batman?"

Joker: "Ya catch on pretty quick ol cue ball! Now in order to do that I'm gonna need you. You and your chubby wallet."

Lex: "I'll pay you whatever you want. Just let me go."

Joker: "Ha! I didn't steal you just for your gold Lexy. I also need that fat ol brain up there."

Lex: "To do what?"

Joker: "Think about it. Your brains. My brutally honest bouncy attitude it's a match made in hell! Now tell me where you keep your alien technology."

Lex: "It's all under lock and key at Luthorcorp but what does that have to do with Batman?"

Joker: "Ho ho believe me Lex, when it comes to taking on Batsy you need every advantage you can get."

(Lois entered the apartment she rented in Gotham for the night and plopped down on her bed, within seconds she heard a tap on the window, she looked up to see Clark crouching on the fire escape, Lois walked over to the window and closed the blinds on him)

Clark: "Lois come on. Please talk to me."

Lois: "I have nothing to say to you."

Clark: "Look I'm sorry I tried to keep you safe but.."

Lois: "You don't get it Clark. You went behind my back and used my article to investigate Batman by yourself. I thought we were a team. I thought you.."

(Clark patiently waited for Lois to complete her thought)

(Lois's voice broke as she finished her sentence)

Lois: "I thought you trusted me."

Clark: "I do Lois. I just thought.."

Lois: "You can't save me from my job Clark. If this is gonna work we need to put faith in each other and promise to always be honest. I found out your secret yes but if I hadn't..would you have ever told me?"

Clark: "Of course I would. Lois when I finally told Lana my secret it was one of the happiest feelings I've ever had. I spent 6 years miserable because I thought she would never understand but when she did it was as if..everything I thought was important faded away. My relationships with everyone have improved significantly once they found out who I was. I used to think telling them would be a burden on them but I never realized how rewarding letting people in could be...until you found out."

Lois: "And to think you used to roll your eyes every time you saw me."

(Clark smiled)

Clark: "Lois I love you. My life was never the same after you found me in that corn field."

Lois: "I still remember staring at your junk and thinking whoa someone's been eating their wheaties."

(Clark chuckled softly as Lois pushed the blinds aside and opened the window)

Clark: "I'll never betray your trust again Lois. From now on I promise to always keep you in the loop. I can't live without you. You're my world Lois Lane."

(With a huge grin Lois wrapped her arms around Clark and kissed him passionately)
