(Lex blinked his eyes as he woke up, he was shackled to a chair in the middle of a dark cave when he saw Batman standing in front of him)
Lex: "So this is your place huh?"
Batman: "Enjoy it while you can you won't be staying long. Tell me about Joker."
Lex: "I don't know where he went he's insane. He offered me a deal when he broke out of Blackgate to free me if I helped kill you. I just went along with it until I had the opportunity to escape. I swear it's the truth."
Batman: "I believe you."
Lex: "Well that's great. Maybe now you can uncuff me?"
Batman: "No."
Lex: "Figures...how's Clark?"
Batman: "None of your concern."
Lex: "The hell it isn't! Clark Kent is the best friend I ever had. If you hurt him.."
Batman: "Me? Lois seems to think you're his sworn enemy."
Lex: "She wasn't around then. Back when Clark and I were friends Lois didn't see those first 3 years. I..I thought of Clark as an inspiration. He saved me from certain death no matter how many times he downplayed it. He was the brother I never had. If only he'd told me his secret from the beginning none of this would've happened. We'd still be friends today and maybe..I'd be a better person."
Batman: "Sounds like you two were close."
Lex: "We were. It could have been so different. But he couldn't trust me. And then everything with Lana...our friendship couldn't survive all that. Maybe it wasn't meant to be."
Batman: "Hm. Were you and Joker driving an ice cream truck?"
Lex: "Yeah. Why?"
(Batman walked over to the Bat computer and zoomed in on a signal he was tracking)
Batman: "Got him."
Alfred: "Will you be leaving our guests here sir?"
Batman: "There's no time Alfred. I have to catch Joker now while I have the chance. Just keep an eye on Mr Luthor. If he tries anything.."
Alfred: "Understood sir. Best of luck."
(Batman ran over to the Batmobile and sped out through the waterfall)
Lois: "Where'd big ears run off to?"
Alfred: "He had some pressing business to attend to at the um..circus. How are you Ma'am? Might I get you anything? Some tea perhaps?"
Lois: "Actually could I grab a quote from you? On the record for my Batman article?"
(Alfred raised an eyebrow, frowning)
Lois: "That's a no then. Gotcha. I'll just take the tea then. Thanks."
(Alfred left making Lois feel awkward, that's when she turned to see Clark gone from the table)
(Her eyes widened in shock)
Lois: "Clark?! Clark!! Where..?" (She turned her attention to Lex with an angry glare)
Lois: "What did you do? Where's Clark?!"
Lex: "Lois I swear I have no clue. I haven't been uncuffed from this chair the whole time. One second Clark was lying there the next.."
Lois: "You better hope he's just off for a super jog or else my foot and your face are gonna get real well acquainted."
(Clark woke up in the familiar crystal walls of the Fortress)
Jor El: "Kal El my son. You have awoken. Now it is time for you to embrace your destiny. You have conquered countless trials and grown into the man your mother and I always wished you to be. You are ready."
(Clark stood up and took in Jor El's words)
Clark: "Ready for what?"
Jor El: "To take the final step of your journey. Everything Jonathan and Martha Kent have taught you has prepared you for this moment. It is time my son. The House of El has proudly worn this symbol for centuries. Now it is yours to embrace."
(A large crystal rose out of the floor of the Fortress and off of Clark's eyes reflected a blue suit with his father's crest in the center with a red cape draped on the back)
Jor El: "I am most proud of you my son."
Clark: "Thank you. Father."
