Clois: Batman

Teaming Up

(Batman landed on the roof of the GCPD as Commissioner Jim Gordon shut off the Bat Signal)

Jim: "Nice work taking down Bane."

Batman: "That wasn't me. It was the work of a new..acquaintance of mine."

Jim: "Oh. Friendly or..?"

Batman: "A potential ally. Was there a reason you signalled?"

Jim: "Yes. The Joker's free again."

(Batman's expression subtly switched from calm to anger)

Jim: "And worse. He broke out Lex Luthor as well. We believe the two may be working together."

"Lex?"

(Batman turned to see Clark had joined him and Gordon on the roof)

Batman: "It's not polite to eavesdrop Kent."

Clark: "If Lex is involved I wanna help."

Batman: "I've got this under control."

Clark: "If you did Lex would still be behind bars."

(Batman stepped up to Clark challengingly)

Batman: "You're out of your depth Kent. You don't know what Joker's capable of."

Clark: "And you don't know Lex like I do. Whether you like it or not I'm gonna go after Lex. Now if you want to stand in my way I'm always up for a round 2."

(Clark stepped closer to Batman threateningly)

Jim: "Um excuse me but who are you?"

Batman: "This is the acquaintance I told you about. And as much as I hate to admit it he could prove useful."

Clark: "Glad you see it that way. Now where should we start?"

"You can start by doing some serious explaining there Smallville."

(Clark spun around to come face to face with Lois)

Clark: "Lois? What are you doing here?"

Lois: "Chasing a lead. But it looks like you found it for me."

Clark: "Lois I can explain.."

Lois: "No need Clark. I know you were just looking out for me but I can handle myself. General's daughter remember? Now Batty how about an.."

(Lois looked past Clark to see that Batman had disappeared)

Lois: "Where'd he..?"

Gordon: "He does that."
