THEY HAD LEFT THE YACHT. They were now walking through the street's of Old San Juan. Steve couldn't believe the beauty of the place. He couldn't believe that he had also made a friend. Someone as beautiful as Meara had taken an interest in him. He thought of how proud Natasha would be of him.

Meara who had stopped a few feet in front of him pointed to a monument. Steve looked at it confused before, realizing. It was "El Morro". An old spanish fort, that the colonizers had built to protect themselves from foreign attackers.

"It's closed." He stated, as the two continued walking along side it.

"Yeah, but this part is not." She told him, grabbing his hand and dragging him along a field that stood in front of the fort.

It was long and full of grass, people were sitting down on it watching the sky, talking, dancing, and singing. Meara noticed Steve looking at the people sitting on the field and smiled mischievously before pushing him down it. Steve startled tripped on a piece of grass, and went face forward rolling down the field. Until his body stopped when he reached a stable place.

He looked up at the sky and started laughing when he heard Meara's laughing fit getting closer. He then saw the green-eyed girl enter his line of vision. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before extending her hand for him to take. She helped him get up and started patting him to get rid of the grass.

"That was actually quite fun." He said.

"Not as fun as watching you fall, that I can assure you." She told him, earning a chuckle from him. She stopped smiling and took a look around in awe. "This place is beautiful." She said, he nodded looking around too. "I remember coming here a years ago. It was the one place where I could feel truly free, even though this place used to be use to hold prisoners too." She said, earning another laugh from Steve. "Ironic, I know." She said.

Steve smiled at her, before talking. "You know, I have never laughed as much as I have tonight with you. Usually I'm very focused and..." He shook his head smiling at his next words. "Uptight."

"Let me guess, those are the words of the friend that pulled the 'Mrs.Rogers' thing earlier?" She asked, and Steve nodded. "Well if it makes you feel any better, you have also made me the happiest I have been in quite a while." She told him, he just looked at her.

"I'm glad, you're happy." He said lowly, she turned her head to looked at him.

The two of them were standing really close to each other, their faces as close as they could be. Steve started to lean in to kiss her, their lips almost touching. He could feel her warm breath near his lips. And when he went to kiss her, she distanced herself from him clearing her throat. Steve looked down embarrassed and went to leave, but she grabbed his arm and pulled him towards her. He looked directly into her eyes as she spoke.

"I do want to kiss you, just not yet." She told him. "Come on let's go back to the hotel she said, and started walking in front of him and up the field. He followed closely behind her, with a smile.
