Beth's Point of View
We've all heard the "Monster under the bed" story or the "Monster in your closet" one. Well, you haven't heard the "Monsters are nice if you get to know them story" have you? You haven't because it doesn't exist. Not until now. I am a vampire and this is my story.
I was turned at a very young age. Seven years old to be exact. My twin brother, however was born a werewolf, as was my dad. My dad dishonored his family to marry a human woman, which was, and still is, completely unheard of. Humans are evil, no offense to any humans reading this but it's true. In the past, we monsters have been driven out of our home, beaten for game, and killed. All because we are different. However, this is the twenty-first century right? We are supposed to forgive and forget, keep hiding so humans don't see us, and never come out, right? Wrong. We live forever and we will never forget what our ancestors were put through. So enough about the history. Monsters are not evil. My parents prove that because why would my mom still love my dad if she was afraid? You might be thinking right now, "Well Beth, how come in all other vampire stories the guy vamp falls in love with a human and they live happily ever after together? What about Twilight?" Well, those stories are completely wrong. Sure true love does happen, look at my parents, but that is more rare than finding a diamond in your backyard. If it does happen, the monster is required to turn the human that he or she loves into a monster. My parents didn't follow that rule, that's why my dad was disowned. Werewolves reproduce extremely easily and my parents didn't want forty little wolves running around, so my mom stayed human. Thus, me and my twin brother, Taylor were born. I was on the slightly small side and came into this world very easily. The nurses told my dad that I was the easiest birth they had ever seen. My brother however, was not. My mom sat in her bed for twelve more hours trying to push Taylor out and eventually had to put into emergency Caesaren section (That's a C-section if you didn't know!) and the doctors pulled out a big as fuck thirteen pound baby as big as a toddler. So even at birth me and Taylor were complete opposites. But that didn't stop us from becoming best friends.
It was the first day of our Senior year of high school we were going to a different school in a different state because Taylor was found out last year at the high school football playoffs. I was a cheerleader and I saw the whole thing play out in slow motion. One of the other team's players false started and in major league football that's a big thing. However the referee didn't call it and Taylor got really mad. Now when Taylor is mad you see it. The irises of his eyes become white and he starts to grow slightly. I caught his eyes turning white and ran over to him trying to keep a human pace. I was too late. Taylor lifted the ref and threw him at the player that committed the foul. They crashed into each other and everyone looked at Taylor with immense fear. Remember when I said monsters are nice? Well we we are until you make us mad. We are like bees. Bees tend to leave you alone because if they sting you, they die. If we attack you because we're mad at you, our whole life crumbles. We had to leave that state, Michigan, and come to our new home in California. Here, no one heard of the "Teenage Werewolf Crisis" in Michigan. So we were safe for another day. Taylor and I were waiting for the bus when two other girls came over and stood next to the bus stop too. One had long blonde hair and a deep tan and the other had bone straight red hair. The blonde looked like she lived here. From her tan all to the flower in her hair to the beach sandals on her feet. The redhead didn't look like she belonged. She had my type of style, the black on black on black look that I rock everyday. The blonde introduced herself immediately. "Hi! I'm Elaina Bleu and this is my best friend Lucy Cartor." Are you new here? I've never seen you before?" I replied yes and extended my hand and said, "I'm Beth and this is my twin Taylor." Lucy shook my hand but Elaina pulled us all into a group hug. Lucy pulled herself out and said, "Where are you guys from?" "Michigan" Taylor replied. "Oh that's cool, and really far away." Lucy then said to me, "I really like your style. "Thanks! Great minds think alike don't they." Lucy smiled. She then said, "I can feel something coming from you two. I think we've found two like us, Elaina." Elaina smiled really big. "I think we have Lucy! I can feel it too!" "What are you talking about?" I asked. Lucy looked around and whispered really softly, "We can feel you're monsters too."
