Chapter 12

Elaina's POV

I am finally back to the beach and transform back to a human form and take the bus back to my apartment. I get in and collapse on my bed and fall asleep. The next thing I remember is Lucy slamming the door as she usually does and flopping on her bed and turning on Pewdiepie. Typical Lucy. I hear a rapping on the door and I groan. Lucy gets up and answers the door. I hear a deep voice and I know who it is. It's Liam. I get up and walk out to where Lucy and Liam are and look Liam right in the eyes. "I told you to stay away from me." Lucy looks at me, "You know this guy?" "Yes. Lucy, meet Dickhead. Dickhead meet Lucy." Liam's eyes grow dark, "No need to be like that, Laina. I said I was sorry. I just wanted to make this right between us." "Whatever" I storm off into my room and start to text Beth, complaining about my situation and ask her to come over to defend me. I hear Lucy and Liam talking in the other room and Lucy is asking him to leave. I hear another knocking on the door and I get up again to let Beth in. Lucy beats me to it and opens the door and Beth enters. "Oh hi Lucy, Elaina, and person I don't know." I push Liam out of the way and go up to Beth and say to her, "This is the one I told you about. He took it upon himself to follow me home and harass me some more when I told him to leave me alone." Beth looks spacey and I can tell she wasn't listening. "Hello. Earth to Beth!" She doesn't snap out of it so I tap her face and she says, "Sorry it's just I think I know you from somewhere. But that's impossible because the only other mermaid I know besides Laina is... Fish Boy." Her face goes white and her eyes go wide. "Wait. Fish Boy?" Liam's eyes widen as well and he whispers, "Legs?" They run to each other and hug for a while and I am astonished. Beth is the Legs that Liam was talking about?

****Beth's POV****

Such a small world we live in. When I was about three my mom and I would always go to the beach just the two of us while Dad trained Taylor to be a good werewolf in the forest because I wasn't a vampire yet. My mom always fell asleep on the beach and it was okay since the beach we went to was a private beach with no waves. I'm pretty sure Elaina uses it to swim out to her underwater home. There are giant rocks on one side and my mom always said not to climb on them but when she fell asleep one day I wandered off and found a path on the other side of the rocks that lead behind the ones facing my mom. When I went up the path there was a boy with a mermaid tail sitting in the water and him and I became friends. We were three and didn't think to learn each other's names so I called him Fish Boy and he called me Legs. He was very fun to play with but sometimes he would say stuff I didn't like and I would smack his arm but I never hurt him. After I was turned, I couldn't go back and see him because the sun would be too much on me and my mom was kidnapped by the vampire who turned me. Instead I was put in a vampire training school during the weekends and I never saw Fish Boy again, until now. "I... I can't believe that you are here! We haven't seen each other in..." He finishes my sentence, "In over ten years." Elaina and Lucy are surprised that we know each other. Elaina looks relieved and says, "Well thank goodness for Beth or I would ave to deal with Liam for the rest of my life. Liam laughs, "Oh yeah. What's your real name?" I smile, "My name is Beth. Beth Moon" Lucy goes back into the bedroom and Elaina stands silent. Liam looks back at her and extends his hand. They shake hands and Liam and I leave, Elaina shuts the door behind us. Liam turns to me and pulls me in for a kiss.

****A month have passed****

****Taylor's POV****

Beth and Liam have been dating for about a month now and that makes Elaina the only single one in our group. Last month I was introduced to Lucy and Beth's friend Justin and him and I have become pretty good friends. Right now Justin and I are playing CoD Ghosts in my basement and eating lots of pizza, typical guy stuff. Justin also has a sister but she is younger, seven to be exact and her name is Jenny. Jenny is your typical little sister and always wants to play with Justin. It really is adorable and Beth loves her. "Taylor" I hear little Jenny's voice running down the stairs. "Hey sugerbee" I said pulling her up on my lap. That's my nickname for her and she loves it. "I wanna play" she said grabbing my controller. "Jenny no! Taylor and I are playing. Go play somewhere else!" Justin never wants Jenny around. "Aw come on Justin she is fine here" I handed her back the controller and put my hands over hers so the could see how to move it. Jenny and I are a team for a while them Justin and Jenny had to go. We all walk upstairs and Beth is sitting on the couch with Liam with her head on his shoulder. "No its true never seen it" Liam said taking her hand. "WHAT! well I have to be the one to show you" she laughed grabbing the remote. I walk Justin and Jenny out then go sit with Beth's legs on my lap. "What hasn't he seen?" I ask look at Beth. "Aladdin, he has never seen Aladdin" she snuggled more up to him. "What I lived in the sea we didn't have Aladdin." he protests "Ok, ok I'll give you that" she laughed "Wanna watch Tay" Beth smiled. "No no its cool" I say I know that Liam really hates me I don't even know why. Beth gets up to go to the bathroom and Liam looks and with a scowl. "What the fuck do you want?" I yell. "Nothing hairball" he smirked. "Why don't you swim back to your little castle Ariel." I said back. Nice one I thought to my self. I can feel my eyes go white and, well, Beth ain't around so what the hell? I punch the smirk off his face and he falls backwards. Beth comes out and screams, "WHAT THE FUCK? TAYLOR! Ughhh. I turn around for one minute and I come back and you punch Liam!" She kneels down next to him and he gets up holding his nose and scowling at me. I turn to leave the room and I feel Liam punch my in my shoulder. It didn't hurt of course but for some reason it put me over the edge. I turn around and punch him square in the stomach, knocking the air out of him, he falls down again. I scream at him, "YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WEREWOLVES ARE THE STRONGEST OF THE MONSTERS AND YET YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO PUNCH ME. YOU EITHER ARE REALLY BRAVE OR REALLY FUCKING STUPID and we both know which one it is. Now if you would excuse me, I need to finish my homework." I stomp off into the basement. God damn why can't I control my anger? I try to finish my physics homework but I can't concentrate. I throw the textbook against the wall and stalk up the stairs and out the door. I need a run.

****Beth's POV****

"Babe, are you ok?" I ask kissing his nose. "Fine," he looks towards the door of the basement, "there is no reason to go after him, it will just make things worse. Come on, let's go to the Pizza Arcade your friend was talking about." I smile and agree. After we leave the house and get in my car I see the garage door open and Taylor leave and run down the sidewalk. Liam doesn't see him and I pretend that I didn't either and quickly get out of the neighborhood in the opposite direction of Taylor. We pull up to the Pizza Arcade and we have a great time. We get to expert level on Dance Central and win a free pizza. "Woah, babe, I didn't know you that you could dance" I laughed "Well I didn't either!" We take the pizza home in a box and Taylor isn't there. We leave the pizza in the fridge and I pull Liam over to the couch. "What are you doing?" I smile, "We're going to watch Aladdin now."
