EXT. WOODS - NIGHT
Miles Flynt (26) is sprinting through the trees. He's wearing a dirty prison jumpsuit. There's the sound of a siren and the light from flashlights in the distance.
Miles falls and slides down a steep his past some trees and gets some distance from the prison officers hot on his trail.
Miles gets up from the ground and sees an attack dog standing in front of him.
MILES
Easy.. Don't try it..
The attack dog growls and then runs and jumps at Miles.
Miles manages to catch the dog by its neck forces it's mouth closed. He then snaps the dog's neck and it goes limp.
Miles looks saddened as he lays the dog down.
EXT. WOODS - NIGHT - MOMENTS LATER
A prison officer arrives and shines his flashlights around and sees the corpse of the dog.
PRISON GUARD #1
Jesus..
He runs over to it and checks the dog over.
Miles appears behind the prison officer and sticks a shiv in his neck and severs his jugular. The prison office tries to scream but then starts to gag on his own blood.
Miles grabs his mouth and helps him to the ground.
EXT. WOODS - NIGHT - MOMENTS LATER
More prison officers arrive, there's a dead body wearing a prison jumpsuit laying on the ground next to the dog.
PRISON GUARD #2
What the fuck happened?..
Miles appears behind the prison guards wearing the prison guard's hat and uniform. He walks in as if discovering the scene himself.
Miles hides his face and shines a flashlight in front of him.
PRISON GUARD #3
Radio for forensics and don't touch the body.
The prison officers disperse. Miles then silently edges away.
PRISON GUARD #3 (CONT'D)
(To Miles)
Fuck are you going? Prison's this way.
MILES
It's a long walk back, I'm finding somewhere to take a piss.
