The explosive blond sat in the waiting room patiently. A million thoughts ran through his brain as he struggled to sit quietly.

Finally, a doctor came out of the hospital room, and Bakugo stood to face him.

"Is she okay?" Bakugo asked, meeting the doctor's eyes

The doctor thought for a moment, then sighed. He figured Bakugo deserved to know the truth. "She is right now, but we don't know if she'll make it. We'll have to take more tests. You can visit her, if you like."

Bakugo was left with only those words, trying his hardest not to let a few tears slip by. With a heavy heart, he stepped into the room, gently closing the door behind him.

"Baby," the injured girl said, trying to sit up.

"Don't you dare move," Bakugo seethed, walking over to stand beside her bed. "Dammit, what happened?"

The girl swallowed a lump in her throat, lying back down on the bed. "Well, while you were with Midoriya and the others, I was with Yaoyorozu. One of the villains got a hold of me. I don't know who he was, but he fought me, and I lost. I thought I was gonna die."

Tears began to fall from her eyes, and Bakugo sat on the bed, placing a hand on her head. He was done with his badass act, for the time being. He could be vulnerable in front of her.

"Don't you ever leave my sight again," Bakugo warned. "I'm so damn tired of seeing you hurt."

The girl nodded, sniffing a little bit. Carefully, she pulled her boyfriend down, wrapping her fingers around his hand and laying her head down on his chest. "I'm not doing it on purpose," she said. "It's not like I waked up every morning and think 'how can I get hurt today?'"

The boy sighed, letting himself hold her close. "Just get your rest. The sooner you're out of here, the better."

His girlfriend smiled up at him. "I love you," she said cheekily.

Bakugo smiled, giving her the warm expression that she knew nobody else ever got to see. That smile was for her and her only. "I love you, too, you damn brat. Get your rest."
