Maureen gave Joanne's hand a big squeeze when Elphaba's name is called to come get her ticket out of high school, the ticket that every kid in Shiz High School wanted. Elphaba stood from her chair and gave Glinda a big hug, then doing the same to Maureen and Joanne as quickly as possible.

Joanne Jefferson, Maureen Johnson, Elphaba Thropp and Glinda Arduenna Upland had stuck together all of elementary, middle, and high school. Now they just needed to stick together throughout Shiz University, which everyone who went said was hell, and their jobs as support would be done. Of course, they would still be friends, as they had planned, but they wouldn't need each other as much anymore. They would be married and happy with two to four children.

Anyway, Elphaba climbed up the stairs to the stage, looking happy in the school perimeter for the first time in forever. Her green skin glowed, making her look even happier besides the huge smile on her face. Glinda's heart melted at the sight of her girlfriend, who had gone through so much shi. . . shiz, happy for once.

Everyone clapped, and Glinda was surprised at the cheers. She assumed that the bitches who normally treated her Elphie like crap were in a good mood today. But from the five hundred people clapping, Glinda, Maureen, and Joanne were the ones clapping and cheering the loudest, grabbing the attention of everyone near them.

When Elphaba came back, Glinda couldn't stop moving. She was still cheering quietly, not wanting to take the attention from the person who was on stage, which was weird for Glinda, but she was tapping her toes on the ground and clapping lightly. Elphaba sat next to her and Glinda kissed her cheek softly.

" I'm so happy for you, baby! " Glinda whisper-screams into Elphie's ear, earning a beautiful grin from her girlfriend. Glinda wrapped her arms around Elphie in a bone-crushing hug, swaying them from side to side almost violently. Glinda wasn't known for being the most selfless person, which shows just about how much she loved Elphaba.

Elphaba and Glinda had managed to stay together since their sophomore year, which is rare for any teenagers dating. Joanne and Maureen on the other hand, had never dated. But they did kiss in eighth grade one time, after their friend dared them to. Maureen didn't think of it as much, as she was always kissing everyone, which Joanne didn't quite enjoy seeing, being since they were always together, but Joanne felt the sparks when they kissed, and ever since then, she was in love. Maureen felt them too, but doubted them as soon as the thought raced by her mind, for Joanne was her bestest friend.

" Maureen Johnson. "

Everyone started yelling, for Maureen was quite popular. She was a talented performer, she was the star of the soccer team, the volleyball team, and the lead in every school play. Okay, so maybe quite popular was an understatement, Maureen was very popular, but she always kept tight with her closest friends. Glinda was also very popular, she was the head cheerleader and was an amazing dancer, along with being an amazing gymnast.

Joanne and Elphaba were very different from Maureen and Glinda, though. After all, they grew up in the same household where Joanne and Elphaba were adopted by the same man at the age of three, and they quickly got along. But them sharing the same father wasn't why they were so similar. Even if they were biologically related, their smartness wouldn't come from their doofus of a father. Elphie and Joanne were both book worms and clean-freaks. Joanne was valedictorian and Elphaba should've been school president, but she didn't get as many votes as Roger Davis.

Maureen stood from her chair and hugged Joanne before she hugged her boyfriend, Mark, who everyone had forgotten about. This made Joanne happy, but the smile that came with that happiness soon faded away when Maureen finished hugging Glinda and Elphie and kissed Mark. He shot an evil smirk towards Joanne.
