The room that the goblet was in had a good amount of students in it. Albus and Ember raced down after their class about the history of magic finished. In the room, people were putting their names in the goblet. People were cheering on others and clapping when someone put their name. It definitely wasn't something to take lightly.
The duo arrived when the female with large, dark hair put her name in, causing the others to clap. With their piece of parchment in hand, they walked up to the cup. Albus took a deep breath before looking over at Ember when they held it up.
"One..." Ember started.
"Two..." Albus continued.
"Three!" They yelled together before placing their names in. People clapped, and Ember quickly pulled Albus in a hug.
He hugged back and continued to hold on to her until the door swung open. They both pulled away from each other and looked over at who entered. It seemed to be a small group of Durmstrang students that made their way to the goblet.
Albus watched as they walked over. Noticing the same male with the unique eyes as well. He looked at him, watching as he dropped his name in the goblet. Maybe it was because of his staring, but the male looked over at him. Though this quickly made Albus nervous, mainly because he thought he was looking at him for a second too long, but he turned away. Before anything could be said though, the other Drumstrag students hyped the others who put their name in.

Time passed, and soon enough the time of waiting was over, now it was up to chance by an old, magical goblet to say who would be competing this year.Ember once again sat next to Albus. Every part of her wanted to hear that she got chosen to play. She knew that she could lead Hogwarts to victory, no matter how hard the challenges may be. Though she knew it was only a slim chance. That many others placed their names in, and she was probably, well, most likely one out of many.
Albus was nervous as well. Though a part of him hoped his friend would get in, and not himself. The thought of him bringing the school greatness was something he could only believe in his dreams. Though he believed that he was talented and pretty good at his powers, someone could surely do better.
The Hogwarts headmaster waited until everyone was settled down. A few people rushed in, the goblet getting the last of their names.
After everyone seemed to sit down, it started. The fire stayed blue before turning pink for a moment. The headmaster was able to get the first name out. "The Beauxbatons tri-wizard champion is... Violette Page!" He yelled.
Violette, the same girl who finished off her school entrance stood up. She smiled as people clapped. She calmly made her way over to the front, shaking Phineas' hand before taking a deep breath as she took in the fact she was now going to compete.
After she went up, another piece of parchment shot up from the goblet. Phineas looked at it. "The Hogwarts tri-wizard champion will be..." He started. Albus and Ember both seemed to hold their breath, waiting for him to say a name. "Albus Dumbledore!" He yelled.
Albus looked stunned. Ember gave him a quick hug before he stood up. He slowly made his way to the front, looking at the Hogwarts students cheered for him.
He took a moment to realize that It was him. He was the one chosen to do it. He took a deep breath before standing tall and proud next to Violette after shaking Phineas' hand.
After everyone calmed down, Phineas was able to get the last one for the Durmstrang. After he caught the parchment that seemed to dangle in the air, he opened it before saying who it was. "The Durmstrang tri-wizard champion is..." He said. Everyone seemed to hold their breath as the seconds passed in silence. That is until Phineas spoke again. "Gellert Grindelwald!"
Everyone clapped, though it was clear the Durmstrang table was cheering the loudest. Gellert stood up, having a smile that could be mistaken for a smirk. He walked over to the front, shaking Phineas' hand before looking at the other two that got chosen. Albus took a deep breath as Gellert walked his way. He watched as he greeted Violette first.
"My lady," He said, getting her hand gently before pressing it to the top to his lips.
"My, what a gentleman." She told him, her French accent clear as day.
After, he moved in front of Albus, who had to look up at him to meet Gellert in the eyes. Gellert simply held his hand out. When Albus took it, a firm handshake was exchanged before standing next to him, standing tall and proud like the other two.
"Even though three will compete, only will get their name in history, and will hold the tri-wizard cup," Phineas said before the crowd clapped one more time.

After one of the Hogwarts staff leads the three to the trophy room, they were left on their own for a moment. While Violette looked at some of the trophies in awe, and Gellert stood around waiting, Albus stared into the fireplace. The calmness of the soft cracks the fire would make it enough to calm him for a moment. He was chosen. There was no turning back, even if he wanted to. He wasn't sure why his mind lingered on this so much. After tarring his eyes away from the fire, he looked over at Gellert. He observed his bright, natural hair before comparing it to his own.
After a moment of looking, his eyes flickered over to Violette. He liked how she seemed so interested. This whole moment was a calm one, though it was changed when professor Phineas entered, along with the other headmistress and headmaster.
Gellert looked over, before watching as Violette made her way closer to the other two.
"You three are now in something risky. Though this also might be the best experience of your life. Now, get some rest, all of you. In a few days, your first challenge will start." Phineas said.
Albus nodded first before the other two did. After they left again, Violette was the first to go back to the guest dorms. Albus watched as she went before looking back over at Gellert, who seemed like he was going to go as well.
Gellert looked back at Albus as he made his way to the door. "I wish you luck this competition. I hope you're a challenge." He said before exiting before making his way out.

It took Albus ten minutes to get out and reach his dormitories. But after he went in, he saw that Ember was sitting on a couch in the common room.He walked over before sitting down next to her. They were the only two there.
"Hey, Albus," She started before looking over. She smiled at him, and when he looked over he smiled back.
"Hey," he answered. "Long day, huh?" He asked with a light chuckle.
"Yup...but hey, it'll work out well." She said before leaning on his shoulder, something she did often, and something he didn't mind. He nodded before leaning back a bit.
"You think so?" He asked.
"I know so. And I'll be there supporting you in all three events." She said softly before closing her eyes.
He didn't say anything, but a soft smile stayed on his face as everything turned quiet. It didn't take long before Ember drifted off into slumber. Though instead of waking her up, he leaned back a bit on the couch so they could both be more comfortable.
It was a calm but cold night, but luckily, they had each other. They slept soundly as if the worries of the everything were far, far away.
