Albus' wand was clenched tightly in his hands as the others cheered him on. He looked at the stands, slowly moving his eyes until he spotted Ember.

"Go on, you can do it!" She yelled, hoping he would hear it. Though most of it was drowned out by the sound of the crowd.

Albus looked up, seeing his friend. Though he couldn't hear her all that well, he assumed that she was giving him nothing but her full support. Though, then he brought his focus to the main thing. The egg. There it was, glistening in the sunlight that peaked through the clouds, as if it could blind someone if it wanted to.

He slowly made his way to it as it hit him. He made no plan. The other two probably were able to think of something, but he had nothing up his sleeve. He was about to get closer to the nest, but a second after the dragon noticed, it spat out its blue flame.

After he noticed, he dashed to the other side of the arena, and when he looked back, he saw the rocks the flame had crumbled. The air around him was now much warmer. When the flames went out, he watched as the dragon went over to him. His breathing started to get heavier with every step it took. He held his wand up, and when the dragon sent out his blue flames again, he shouted "Incendio!" choosing to fight fire with fire.

When the fire shot out the wand, he stayed focused, noticing when the dragon continued to shoot blue flame from its mouth. Albus then slowly moved his wand to the side a bit and liked he expected, the dragon moved with it. He smirked a bit before sharply moving his wand to the other side, watching as the dragons head moved as well. The second after the dragon moved his head, he sprinted over to the egg on the other side.

He was about to grab it, it was as if he could feel it touching his fingertips. The crowd stayed quiet as they watched, but in an instant, he felt sharp claws that knocked him down. He hit the rocks, laying down for a moment before the dragons cry pierce his ears.

When Albus didn't seem to get up, Ember covered her mouth a bit. When the dragon seemed to get ready to claw at him, she yelled. "Albus!".

Right after she yelled, he rolled over quickly before the dragon was able to sink its claws in him. He then held his wand out. "Nebulus!" He yelled, watching as a swirling fog went around the dragon.

He stood up, watching as the magic made fog got thicker and thicker. He took this time to rush back over to the nest. Without looking back, he grabbed the golden egg, holding it up proudly, a grin plastered on his face.

Everyone cheered, looking over at Ember who was over the moon. Maybe Gellert was right, sometimes he had to prove his thoughts wrong. And boy, did it feel good when he did so.
