"So I... I want to ask you if you wanted to be at the New Year's Eve party with my family. My mother asks if I want to ask someone that will be okay. If you don't want to go that's no problem. It will be a lot funnier with you that alone but only if you want" Dan said in one breath.

Maybe it wasn't so bad. My mother and I were planning to celebrate New Year's Eve at a few of her friends and my brother went back on tour for a month so it was actually a good idea.

"Dan, I want to spend my New Year's Eve with you. And next week is the last week before the Christmas holiday so it's appropriate" I said with a big smile. Dan turned his head to my side in a flash and kissed my cheek. We became both red.

"That's wicked. But you remember we go to South Africa to celebrate there with my family right?" he said with a wondering face. I saw the fear in his eyes as if I would say no.

"Of course I know that. I always wanted to go to South Africa!"

We laughed at each other as we sat in each other's arms. Light footsteps echoed in the dorm's hallway to us. I raised my head from Dan's shoulder and saw Kyle looking awkward and shuffling from his one foot to the other.

"Hey Kyle, you're okay?" I said concerned.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I just want to know if is everything alright now?!"

"Everything is fine." I said and gave him a hug. I let go of Kyle and turned to Dan who had already standing up. He stared nervously to his hands when his head slowly fussed up to watch Kyle.

"Hey uhm... Kyle. I'm sorry for what I did. I saw Hanne crying and I thought you'd hurt her which is clearly not in case. I only wanted to protect her because I thought I was going to lose her. I'm really sorry. I was not allowed to do that." Dan said as he got his hand through his hair.

"It's okay, man. I know that feeling. I was scared first but when I saw that you really care about her. I know it."he said as he patted my head.

"Okay, you two are friends now, so what do you think about the cinema tomorrow?" They laughed and nodded.

The next day we were at the cinema with Mackenzie and Ralph together. Dan wanted to be the gentlemen so he paid for everything. I had a big popcorn bag and a large coke. We walked to the film room and took our seats in the back. Ralph and Mackenzie sat next to each other as next to them Kyle, next to Kyle was me and then Dan. We watched 'Down of the Planet of the Apes'. I already saw the first one and I really wanted to see the second one.

We were in the middle of the film when I saw Dan's hand came closer to mine. He reached my fingers as he entwisted his hand with mine. I looked at him and saw him staring at me. I smiled at him and turned my attention back at the film.

The film ended and I could tell you, Dan's hand never let go of mine. Of the thoughts of it, my cheeks burned up. My popcorn wasn't empty yet so when we came out I had an idea. Dan was walking in front of me so I jumped on his back of him and threw the bag of popcorn all over his head. I jumped off his back and started to run away from him. I looked behind me and saw Dan awkwardly ran after me.

I felt 2 strong arms around my waist and picked me up over his shoulder. I looked at his back as I slammed my fists on his back. A smirk came on my face as I had a plan to escape of Dan. I lay my hand on his ass and slided my hand on it as I sneezed in his butt. He yelled and let me went to the ground. I saw the boys and Mackenzie laughing their head off at my action. This couldn't go better.
