Your Flaws Will Haunt - Dan Smith Fanfiction

A Big Mouth.

 Today was my last day of lessons on this university. I was sad because every day I kept wishing that we were back in the beginning of this year. The thought of saying goodbye to my friends and my boyfriend were hard for me. Mackenzie, Ryler, Ralph and me were planning the party yesterday that is tomorrow. They accepted Ryler after all the things he did and saw he was there for me when I cried and felt down. They never expected that Ryler could be so loving and caring. We planned the party to be in the lounge of the university. We talked to the director and he said we could do the party there if we clean up all the mess afterwards. So today we were telling everyone about the goodbye party.

 While I was talking with Lara about the party, I saw Dan walking in the class. He has red eyes and bags under his eyes. I felt guilt coming up inside of me when I followed him to the back of the class with my eyes. He was sitting next to Hellen while she flirted with him. He kept staring at his hands with no emotion on his face. I saw at his looks, he cried. A flash of hurt also came into me. The teacher came in the class so I went to my seat, what wasn’t far from Dan and looked at the board.

 “Mr. Smith, can you give the answer?” said Mr. Turner to him while writing the exercise on the board. Dan was quiet and didn’t answer. Mr. Turner turned around and looked at him with a harsh glance. “Mr. Smith, answer my question.”

 “Why do you ask that stupid question to me while you know the answer?!” he said while staring emotionless to Mr. Turner. “What did you said there young man?!”

 “You’ve heard me! Why don’t you just answer your own damn question and don’t bother me!” Dan said still looking straight to the front. “Enough! Get out of my class now!!” Mr. Turner yelled at him and directed his finger to the door. “Good!!” Dan said and picked up his bag and slammed the door behind him. It was silence in the room and everyone was shocked to see him like that because everyone knew him as one of the shy and silence guys. Mr. Turner turned back to us and went further with his lesson. But I didn’t pay attention to the lesson at all because the only thing that was in my mind was Dan.

 While lunch I kept searching for Dan but after 30 minutes I still didn’t saw him. He also wasn’t in the music room or in the lounge so I was on my way to his dorm. I saw Ryler and some of his friends standing in the hall so I walked up to him and tapped on his shoulder. He turned around and smiled at the sign of me standing in front of him. His friends smirked at me as one of them, Mark I think, poked Ryler’s back and wobbled their eyebrows as Ryler’s blushed. I looked at him confused as I shook my head and pulled him apart.

 “Did you see Dan? He was put out of class after that he spoke against the teacher” I said and looked around me so I maybe could see him. “Wow, I didn’t know that he would do that… but no, I didn’t see him” he said while scratching the back of his head. “Oh okay” I walked to the dorm of Dan and knocked on the door. I didn’t hear anything so I walked inside and saw the room was empty. I turned back outside and saw that Ryler stood in front of me. His face was dangerous close with mine as I felt his breath on my face. I looked in his eyes and saw how beautiful his hazel brown eyes actually were. He stared at me as he looked at my lips. I felt my heart beating harder as I looked at my shoes. He coughed and stepped back.

 I looked at the time and saw that it was almost 2PM so I had to go with Mackenzie into town to search a dress for the party. I walked to the exit with the school and saw her standing while talking on the phone. “I’m going into town with Mackenzie to search a dress for tomorrow so…” I said and pulled my hair out of my face.

 “Okay. Umm… If you want I can pick you up tomorrow night?!” he said while a blush came on his cheeks. Awww he looked so cute! No Hanne, you are with Dan!

 “Yes, sure. Thank you” I said and smiled at him and hugged him. I felt his strong arms around me and felt his warm sense against my body. We pulled apart and I walked to Mackenzie. Mackenzie smiled at me and sent me a wink. I shook my head while laughing as we catch up the bus.

 We were walking  for more than a hour as I bought my red heels and some makeup but I still didn’t had my dress. We were walking around and that when I saw it. The most beautiful dress. The dress was black and came half way through my above leg. There was a ribbon that went around my waist and went up to my chest. There were no ribbons around the shoulders as he just kept tight. At the end of the dress, there were layers and tiny diamonds sparkling in my eyes. I let out a little yell that catch some stares of other people and Mackenzie that was looking worried at me. I took her hand and took her to the store where the dress was hanging.

 “Hello ladies, what can I do for you?” A middle aged woman asked us with a bright smile. “Could I get the beautiful black dress with the little diamonds at the end of it, please?” I asked friendly and grabbed my wallet out of my bag. The woman came back with the dress and placed in a bag.

 “That will be £189 please” she said and accepted the money from me. I grabbed the bag and went with Mackenzie to the Starbucks. Mackenzie ordered a coffee as I ordered a hot chocolate because I didn’t like coffee and went to sit in the corner. “I’m so excited for the party tomorrow!” Mackenzie said and smiled her teeth at me. I hope everything will go right…
