Your Flaws Will Haunt - Dan Smith Fanfiction

Cold Night.

 Banging destroyed the silence in my room. I sat up in my bed and glanced around the room but I didn’t saw something. The banging kept on going as I heard a high voice calling my name. I groaned and went out of bed. I walked slowly to the door and saw a bright smiling Mackenzie with one of the her many makeup boxes and a clothes hanger. My face went to confusing while I turned around and looked at the clock on my bedside table. It was already 4PM. Wow, I think I was really tired from yesterday. Mackenzie and I lay our dresses on my bed as I went to the bathroom and took my clothes off. The warm sense of the water rolled on my body. The feeling of dreaming away. Hoping that every issue with Dan will be gone and everything will be good between us again. I want to make the best of the night and left behind the worries.

 I showered for like 20 minutes as I walked out and took one of my black shorts and a tank top. I sat on one of the chairs in the kitchen as Mackenzie did my hair. She did my hair flat and curled the ends. Afterwards she dyed my hair blonde and the ends of my hair black. “Omg, Hanne! You look so beautiful. Every guy will have their eyes on you. Except Ralph of course” she said happy and loved at the same time. I stood up and went to the mirror and saw a whole new Hanne. My blue eyes came out perfectly with my blonde hair and black ends. I did Mackenzie her hair and makeup as Mackenzie also did my makeup. We only had 1 hour to go so we ate a pizza together and putted our dresses on.

 Normally Ryler would came after me for the party but I let him knew that I’ll go with Mackenzie and that he should already go to the party. We did the last details on our dresses. Mackenzie had a red dress on that ends above her knees. It was really beautiful with her brown hair curled. We picked our phones and went out.

 We walked to the lounge where we saw a lot of students dancing on “Get Down” from James Arthur. We looked at each other and stepped into the lounge. We saw all the guys sitting at the bar with a beer in their hands. Ryler and Kyle were talking and Ralph was with the rest of his band talking. Next to them sat Dan with Hellen at his side. A flash of hurt went through me but I didn’t let them show it. I walked together with Mackenzie to them as I saw almost every guy in the room glancing at me and looked me up and down. Blush came on my cheeks. We were in front of them and Ryler saw us coming. His mouth fell open and that’s when the rest of the guys looked at Mackenzie and me. Ralph went to Mackenzie and kissed her softly but loving on the lips. I looked at Ryler and Kyle and saw them staring at me. Out of the corner was Dan staring too but a flash of guilt and amused on his face.

 I shook my head and turned back to Ryler and Kyle. I gave them a hug and hugged Ralph and the guys too. I ordered a beer too and sat next to Ryler.

 “W...Wow, Hanne. You a...are really stunning” he said while scratching the back of his neck as his face came bright red of blushing. “Thank you Ryler, you aren’t bad yourself” I said and looked at him. He really didn’t looked bad at all. He wore a black skinny jeans with black Vans. A white shirt that showed his perfect abs with a black leather jacket. His hair was in for the half to the side but more messier. He truly looked hot. “T...Thanks. Umm.. can I have this dance?” he said and held out his hand. “Yes, sure” I said and placed my beer down and walked with him to the dance floor. We danced together and I laughed my head off at his dance tricks. He danced around me and turned me around a few times. I really had the time of my life till the music stopped and Mackenzie stood on a bar chair and held an microphone.

 “Thank you for everyone who came. I want to say that we have to say goodbye to a really good friend of mine, Hanne. She’s going to Newcastle so I really wanted to say that we are all going to miss you and we absolutely will meet again because this isn’t over yet. There is someone who really wanted say something because this person is really sorry and really want to say something to you” she said while looking at me as my face went to confusing. She went off the chair and a second later came Dan on the chair. My hand went to my mouth as I waited till he talked. “Hanne, we are really going to miss you and including me. I’ve done stupid things to you and let you down when you needed me the most. And now, look at me. A lonely soul that lost the love of his life. I really hope you can forgive me for everything. I understand that you don’t want to be with me again but I’ll sing this song to you. This song is from one of your favourite bands and that’s one of the songs you sang the first time I saw you behind the piano. I hope you like it” he said with sad eyes and went off the chair and went to the podium in the corner of the room.  Tears came in my eyes as I followed every move that he did. He stepped on the podium and that’s when I saw the guys of To Kill A King on the podium with their instruments.

 At the end of the song I was in tears. Everybody in the room was clapping. Dan went from behind his keyboard and came through the crow to the middle of the dance floor where I stood with Ryler by my side. Ryler smiled at me and pushed me a little bit to the podium as Dan came to me. Dan stood in front of me as we looked in each other’s eyes. I pulled the tears away from my eyes and stepped forwards to enveloped him in a hug. His arms went around me as I lay my head in his neck.

 “We may not be together anymore but I can say one thing to you” I said and held his hands. The look in his eyes were sad and helpful together. “I forgive you” I said with a smile. His face flashed a huge smile as he hugged me again. Everybody yelled it out and the music came back up. We pulled away and I saw Ryler awkwardly standing next to us. I took his hand and pulled him to me and Dan. “Dan, meet the new Ryler. Ryler, meet Dan”

 Dan looked scared at Ryler first but then he smiled and bro hugged him what Ryler accepted did. “Ryler, when you guys leave, please keep an eye on Hanne if you want” he said and lay a hand on my shoulder. “Hahaha, will do Dan” Ryler laughed while winking at me. “Guys, I’m not a little girl!” I said while laughing too.

“Yes, you are” they said at the same time. That night we kept partying and drinking till we fell asleep. Tomorrow is the day that I’ll leave my friends and a part of my heart behind.
