After we messed around in the toy store for like an hour, Cameron and I walked back outside to the car. We drove onto Broadway Avenue. “Are we seeing a show?!” I asked excitedly. I loved Broadway. “Yes. I know how much you love it so I thought it would be great.” He answered. “Wait, how did you know?” I asked curiously. “I’ve been talking to Lauren and asking what she thought would be good to do today.” He answered. “Aww. Oh my gosh that’s so sweet.” I answered. I couldn’t stop smiling. The theatre we got out at said “MAMA MIA” on the board. “Cam! This is a girly movie” I said. “I don’t mind. And I know you’d enjoy it.” I smiled again, and grabbed his hand as we walked in. The show was really good, a classic girly show though. I think Cameron enjoyed it either way.

After the show we drove to Time Square and went up into this really tall building. At the top was this restaurant. “reservation for Dallas.” Cameron said to the hostess. We followed the waiter into this private room with a table set for 2 with huge windows overlooking Time Square. There was a giant teddy bear sitting at one of the tables. I gasped and covered my mouth. “What is all of this?” I asked surprised. “Dinner!” Cameron answered. We walked towards the table. Cameron pointed at the teddy bear and said “This is for whenever you need a hug, but I’m not there and can’t be there. Hug him when you want to hug me.” I looked up at Cameron and said “But now I can hug you.” And wrapped my arms around him as he did the same. I said quietly into his ear “You’re the best.” He pulled away so he could look at me, but still held his arms around my waist and said “No. You are.” I smiled and hugged him again. He pulled out my chair for me like a true gentlemen and then sat the teddy bear on the floor and sat in his seat. “So, Lauren tells me you’re really picky, so I made sure this place had a huge menu.”  He said once we sat down. “I’m sure I’ll be able to find something,” I said laughing. The dinner was really formal, even though we weren’t dressed formally. It was so good, and I thought that it was really expensive. Everything we had done today cost a lot of money, but Cam had paid for everything. After we were done, we went down to time square and shopping. We went into the giant forever 21, and I helped Cam pick out some new shirts. He picked out some shirts for me too that were really pretty actually. We shopped in a few more stores and Cameron bought me stuff, even after I said he couldn’t buy me anything else. “Okay, so since it’s finally starting to get dark I have one last thing for you, but we’re going to walk so my driver doesn’t get stuck in the traffic.

We walked a few blocks, hand in hand until we finally got there. We were at the empire state building. We went inside, and went into the many elevators until we finally got to the top. Even though it was a warm summer night, it was breezy and made it kind of cold up there. The city was so beautiful at night. I almost forgot about my fear of heights because it was so pretty to look at. Also, Cam had his arm around my waist the whole time since it was chilly. We asked a stranger to take a picture of us, with the city lights behind us and it turned out really nice. I posted it on Instagram and captioned it “a great way to end a great day.” We walked around the whole top, taking in every view. “Today was great Cam.” I said to him. “It was.” All of the sudden fireworks started going off from a building right next to the empire state building. “Cam? Did you plan this?” I asked him. He laughed and said “no I swear! The fireworks I didn’t plan. It’s just a coincidence.” I didn’t know why someone would be setting off fireworks, on June 17th, a random Tuesday. We stood there, arms around each other looking up at the beautiful fireworks. I rested my head on his shoulder. When the show was done, we headed back down the elevators and there was his driver waiting for us. We got in, and he drove us back to his hotel where Cam’s car was. I looked at the time and it was 9:40.

We drove back, talking about our day and what our favorite parts were. “My favorite part was the carriage.” Cameron said. I looked over at him and smiled. “Umm… I know this is embarrassing but you were my first kiss. Today.” I said. Cameron looked over at me (we were at a stoplight) and grabbed my hand to hold it. “How? How have you not been kissed by a guy yet? You’re absolutely perfect. I don’t get it!” He said. “Cam you’re so cheesy but I love it.” I said smiling. He squeezed my hand and held onto it the whole ride home. My giant teddy bear was sitting in the backseat. Before we knew it though, we were at my house and Cameron was flying back tomorrow morning so this was goodbye for a while. He opened the door for me and I stepped out of his car. We stood really close. “So, this is goodbye?” I said. “of course not. I want to see you as much as possible so I will. Don’t worry babe.” Cameron said, as he pulled me in for a tight hug. We hugged for a pretty long time before finally letting go. He got the teddy bear out of the backseat and handed it to me. “And don’t forget. Whenever you need a hug, he’s there for you.” I smiled and went up to Cameron again to hug him one last time. “y/n. Don’t worry. We will still facetime and text and talk all the time.” Cameron said, trying to make me feel better. “Okay. Have a safe flight tomorrow morning.” I said as we finally pulled away and he got back in his car as I walked into my house, carrying the teddy bear. My parents were sitting on the couch, watching tv when I walked in so they of course asked me all about the day. I told them the main points, of course leaving out the kiss because I knew they’d flip out about it. I walked upstairs exhausted with the teddy bear in my hands. I hugged it right before I went to sleep. It was crazy to think that from spending only one day with him, I really missed Cameron already.
