-Jake's Point of View-
She stood there looking at me with wide eyes like she couldn't even believe those words had come from my mouth. What could be so bad that she hadn't told me before. She had told me about Grayson, never calling him by name but she hadn't hidden him from me, But never had she even said the name Trevor.
She just stood there looking at me, her chocolate eyes looking back into my green ones.
"Tay?" I say again, my heart racing.
"Um" She says looking down away from me.
"Taylor?" I start to get worried and my tone gets slightly harsher against me will. She still doesn't respond, just stands there with her hand held tightly to her glass.
"Taylor, what the hell is the Trevor thing?" She looks back up at me and blinks a few times before taking a deep breath.
"Jake, it's not important anymore. Grayson is the jealous type and just wants to get to you."
"Well it's working." I mumble and put the bowl away.
"Don't let it. He is a total asshole and not worth the worrying." She says walking towards me.
"OK." I say quietly, facing her and putting on a confident smile.
"I'm sorry." She says putting her hands on my hips and looking up at me.
"It's alright," I say brushing a couple stray hairs from her eyes. She smiles at me and my heart almost melts. Even when she won't share something with me she is so pretty. Every part of her face lights up when she smiles, "So what are you doing today?"
She shrugs her shoulders, "Well we should clean if your mom is going to be here tomorrow."
I lean my head back and sigh, "Ugh do we have to?" I ask fake whining.
"Yes we do.," She says patting my side and giving me a small kiss before walking to her room, "And you should probably put a shirt on."
I half heartily smile at me and walk into my own room.
"Jake?" She calls before walking over to my door, holding a pair of jeans and a couple books.
"Yes?" I ask putting a Nike shirt on over my abs, she watches them and I chuckle to myself.
"Are they sleeping in my room or your room this time?" She leans in the doorway, her crazy hair up in a messy bun.
"Well I can stay in your room with you and they can be in here." I wink at her and walk towards the door. She still looks at me with a bit of fear, maybe the Trevor thing was something.
"OK well then you need to get clean sheets, I don't think Carol wants your boy germs." She turns and walks back across the hall to her own room.
"You do though, right?" I ask teasingly and smiling at her back. She shakes her head and laughs a bit. At least she is still smiling.
Then I turn on my music. Taylor and I, for the most part, have very similar musical opinions. She insists on listening to One Direction, which isn't my thing.
I crank up Red Hot Chili Peppers. Taylor puts on Carly Rae Jepson in response. I roll my eyes and pull the sheets off my bed then I walk into the bathroom to get clean ones. Still think about the Trevor thing.
"Jake why didn't you go to Harvard when they did that video?" She asks walking towards me, hands on her hips, "Why are you so Damn old?"
I smile and her and walk to my room backwards, "Do you really want millions of teenage girls obsessing over me?"
"No." She says sulking and going back to her room, doing the baseball team dance. She is such a spaz sometimes. After getting clean sheets on the bed I vacuum and walk back out to the living room, sitting on the couch. Taylor comes back out later and sits on my lap, stretching her legs out on the couch, her left arm around my neck with her hand in my hair.
"You need a hair cut there Beibs."
"You sure?" I ask pretending to flip it to the side.
"Yes." She says laughing and shifting a little on my legs.
"Well I should do that today?" I say looking at her, then at the clock. 12:30.
"You should," She says taking her phone out of her pocket and looking at it, "I can call Maddy if you want."
"Sounds great." I say as she gets off my lap and walks to her room, dialling the number. I didn't want her to leave, but my mom couldn't see my hair looking like this. I may be a grown man but I still look up to my mom, a lot.
Running my hands though my Justin Beiber hair I walk into my room and put on a pair of jeans, a purple and white striped v-neck shirt, and a pair of grey vans.
Walking out of my room I see Taylor sitting at her desk doing her make-up. She is wearing a black dress shirt tucked into a ruffled white shirt and leather ankle boots. She looks amazing. She always looks beautiful, but with her hair up like that and that skirt. She is glowing. I lean in the doorway and watch her.
"What?" She asks her mouth open as she applies make up to her top lid.
"Nothing." I say grinning like a fool. She shakes her head, checking her hair one last time, and picks up her purse from the bed.
"You ready yo go?" She asks walking over to me.
"Yes." I say looking over her outfit before putting my arm around her shoulder and walking to the door. She takes her jacket off the hook and slips it on then hands me mine.
I put it on and grab my keys. Rex comes running towards us and I swear under my breath.
"Do you think Rachel or Heather would watch him for the day?" Taylor asks, picking him up and scratching his ears.
"Yes." I say laughing and crossing the hall to their door.
Heather answers it looking like she just woke up, which she probably did.
"Hey!" I say giving her a classic Jake Barlowe smile. She blushes and giggles, "Hi, Jake."
"Would you do me a favor and watch Rex for the day?"
"Yes!" She says blankly staring into my eyes. It's a bit terrifying actually.
"Thanks," I say as Taylor sets him down on the floor of their apartment. "Bye." I say as we walk away and Heather slowly closes the door.
Then Taylor and I are off for the day.
