Mari's POV
(Flashback)
"If you don't want to be my friend, fine. But soon, you won't have any friends left at all and trust me, I'll make sure you never get close to Adrien in class, or anywhere. You seem a little less dumb than the others so I'll give you one last chance. You are either with me or against me."
"I'm not going to fall for your little tricks, Lila! I'll find a way to prove that you're lying. And I know you're bluffing! My friends are close to me and would never leave my side! I'll win in the end, Lila!"
(Flashback ends)
Turns out she wasn't bluffing after all.
I walked home after school, admiring the beautiful sky and sunset that came along with it. The sweet smell of flowers and the essence of a fresh and clear night guided me safely home. Once I opened the bakery door, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming smell of pastries that filled the room.
"Marinette! How was your day at school?"
"It was great! Although, I'm tired. I think I'm going to go to bed."
"Alright, goodnight sweetheart."
"Goodnight ma."
Once I reached my room, I continued to work on a design for a couple of hours. Sketching, erasing, thinking, and sketching some more until the design looked almost perfect. I could perfect it later. Instead of designing a hat, a dress, or an accessory, I was working on a new daily outfit for myself. I had just finished designing.
"It looks great Marinette!"
"Thank you, Tikki! I'm pretty tired, and I have patrol tomorrow, so I'm going to go to bed now, goodnight."
"Goodnight!"
I lay down in my bed, slowly dozing off to sleep.
EARLY the next morning.
I was sound asleep- for most of the night. At about 4 am, I bounced up, and turned on the lights, looking around my room.
"ugh..Marinette..? What's wrong?"
"Tikki, I need to do something about him."
"Who?"
"Adrien."
"Why? What?"
"Tikki, look at my room! This is crazy! I'm older now! I think I should be able to like a boy without being crazily obsessed over having pictures of him in my room. What if he comes over again? I need to fix this."
"...I didn't want to say anything, but you're right. You did go a bit overboard. Maybe have a couple different pictures of you and your friends that include him in the pictures so he's not completely gone!"
"Tikki.... That's a great idea!"
We spent until 6 am fixing my room. Yes, I was tired, but I wouldn't have been able to sleep without fixing it anyways. I let myself take another nap before school, in complete comfort.
BEEP BEEP BEEEP BEEEEEEP
"Marinette! You're late for school! Again! Hurry! I made breakfast to go!"
...
....
wait.
oh no.
Not Again!! Augh!
