WARNING! VIOLENT LANGUAGE UP AHEAD!

Confused, I sat in my seat. What happened? Why was Alya so mad? What did I do wrong?

Lila.

Lila threatened me.

She wasn't bluffing.

I had made a mistake, a huge one.

As I looked more carefully at Alya, the more hatred and anger I saw from her. I hoped dearly that she wouldn't get akumatied. Throughout the class, I sat pondering over what happened. I was submerged in questions for the majority of the class until. bump. I looked at the seat next to my leg. A crumpled up paper ball had hit me. I looked up. Nobody seemed to be paying attention except for Lila. I hesitated to open the letter. It read:

Hey Bitch.

How's your day been so far? Look, snob, If you want your friend back then you're going to have to be on my side. It's either my way or no way. Oh wait! There is another way! Being caught in a  never-ending life of hell with no friends, no life, no happiness. What do you say? When you finally decide to be on my side, you'll serve me. Like the little "female dog" that you are. You'll do my homework, make my lunches, do my chores, and make sure that I remain high and mighty. I'm doing you a favor here. You'd be popular and have all the friends that you could ever want. Choose. Don't take to long- Adrien is next on my list.

-Lila.

Angered, I wrote back and threw the note at her. My response told her that I wasn't going to put up with her and that I was going to find a way to make things all right again. I also told her that I wasn't afraid of her, even though I secretly was.  She wrote back one more time, threatening me. For the last time, I wrote my exact same response and threw the paper ball back.

"Ouch!"

Everyone's eyes went to the back of the room. Miss Bustiers too.

"Marinette was staring at me, so I smiled back and all of a sudden she wrote on a piece of paper and threw it really hard at my face! My face burns and the paper reads, 'Go away, slut!'" She added in some fake tears as well.

Flustered, my face turned red. I never said that, and the paper ball landed on her desk! That liar!

"Miss Bustier! That's not true! I never did that! She sent me the ball first and then-"

"Girls, I don't know what to believe. I might as well send both of you to the office. Unless anyone else saw what happened?"

Everyone was dead silent- until...

"Yes, Alya?"

"I saw everything. Marinette has been lying and bullying people recently. She did do that. She also called Lila many other things before threatening her and beating her up after school yesterday!"

"Marinette! Principals! NOW!"

"But I-!"

"NOW! TAKE THE NOTE WITH YOU!"

I ran out of the classroom, crying. On my way out, I threw away the note in the trash can. My chest heavy, I noticed the smell of rain fill the area. It was going to rain. I left my umbrella at home. Bringing my senses back, I couldn't bring myself to go to the principal. I couldn't talk to anyone. I hid in the bathrooms, crying for at least an hour until I heard the door open. Curious, I leaned my head down so I could look at their shoes, hopefully, to recognize who it was. Alya maybe? No. It was Lila, again. Angered and sad, I spoke.

"What do you want, Lila? Or should I call you Liar instead?"

I walked out of the stall and stood tall, facing her evil, devilish smile.

"You got what you deserved. But, I'm not done having fun yet."

...

I walked home bleeding. The rain washed off the blood but not the scar. Or the black eye. My parents couldn't see me like this. I walked into an alleyway and hid, crying. I hugged my legs and buried my head. What was I going to do?  Out of nowhere,  I heard something. A pat on the floor in front of me. What if it was Lila? I hid my head and tried to back away before I realized that there was a wall right behind me. Oh no! Not again!

"M-mari?"

That's not Lila. That sounds like... Chat Noir? I peered up. It was him. Embarrassed, I looked away. Only seconds later did my shoulder get very warm. It felt nice and welcoming. I looked to my side. Chat Noir had sat down next to me. He didn't speak, and I stared at his deep green eyes until he looked back at me. He must have noticed the black eye because he gently poked my check bone, motioning towards my eye.

"What happened?"

My heart and chest hurt, and it weighed me down. I was so afraid to speak.

"N-nothing."

"..."

I stood up and looked back at him. I couldn't tell him. Patrol would be so difficult if he knew. Also, it'd worry him. He's probably too busy for that. I walked away slowly after giving him a forced smile. It was much harder to do than you would think.

Once home, I collapsed on my bed. My mom came up to my room later on with an angered and disappointed face.

"Bullying now?"

"Mom I-"

"That poor Lila girl just wanted to have a nice time at school! I don't know why or how- but I'm too angered to ask you about anything! All I know is that you're grounded!"

She slammed the door and went downstairs. Hours later my parents had started arguing with each other. That's a first. My heart sank as I fell asleep.
