"Trin get in the car."
"No"
"Trin get in the car"
"No bailey leave me alone."
This scene reminded me of that scene in that 70's show where young Ashton and Mila were playing Michael and Jacki from that 70's show .
"Seriously get in the bloody car we aren't even going the right way and I need to see Charlie before she goes out tonight and you are really getting on my nerves." He pleas.
"You probably shouldn't see Charlie tonight." I don't want a soap opera going on in my house tonight.
"Why?" he stops the car and I stop running.
"Because *pant* she might be *pant* Out with *pant pant* Her friend Harley."
"Why are they going out or something."
"Err- well you see-" I try to make up a lie but I know it is no use because every time I lie and it is followed by one of those uncomfortable silences I start laughing, I mean a real whole hearted laugh that leaves everyone either confused or mad. "It don't know, ask them."
"No! I don't see trin maybe you should explain" then all of a sudden his mood went from calm and annoyed to 'Kill a bit$h Friday' his face was flaming red and I was unsure if it was because of the heat in his un- air conditioned bomb of a car or because he could sense I was lying.
" See, I've only known you for a day," he continues,"and you probably already know more about my life than I do." His face is in such a straight line he is so lucky the wind hasn't changed. His rust bucket of a 1998 commodore is about to fall apart from working too hard and that is my ticket back to my dorm.
"I think you should turn off your car before it the battery runs out." I manage to say before he cuts me off. I'm really surprised that I could say that in one go because every other sentence I have said today hasn't been complete. He always manages to cut me off right in between words.
"Humph" is all he manages to say before he urns out the ignition and gets out of his car and storms over to me. Oh god with all his mood swings he is in no control of what he is capable to do. I can only think one thing, help.
*********************************************************
He is now looking down on me-literally . I remember when I thought my dad was this tall and this scary and he would have the same look in his eyes as Jake does right before he would hit me.
"Please make it quick" I manage to whisper as I stare at my shoes ashamed that I ruined his day and their relationship.
"Make what quick, you must think I am either an idiot or a aggressive freak" he mutters the last part under his breath before taking a deep sigh. He stepped back realising that he was scaring me. "Can we talk?" he asks slowly as if I am not capable of holding a conversation. I nod slightly just to let him know I can hear him.
Just as I stop nodding he sprints up to the nearest tree and climbs it until he reaches a sturdy branch that has the resemblance of a human arm.
"Come up here" he yells before resuming his climb. I ( basically because I honestly have no idea where I am and there is no other people around to ask for help) walkover to the old oak tree. Surprisingly enough I make my way up the tree that was just about to fall apart by the looks of things and sit opposite to him.
"Are you scared of me?" he says looking down on the floor as he copies my sitting positions on the oposite side.
I stayed silent"Oh" was all he managed to get out.
"I'm think you should talk to charlotte though" and that was the truth. I'm not telling him to dump her sorry ass, nor am I telling him to forgive her in the blink of an eye. He needs to talk to her- plain and simple.
"You don't know anything."
"I know enough."
"The story isn't black and white, Charlotte's done nothing wrong."
"But-""No, no, no just let me finish. -- I lied to you."
"Abouttttt?" I drag out my speech
"Well the thing is, I'm not her boyfriend; I'm, kind of-sort of her- brother"
"Wait what?" I know I know what a stupid thing to say but I've only known him a few days but I was kind of grossed out, like who even thinks of dating their siblings?
"i know it was a weird thing to lie about"
"Yeah just a little ." i nervously laugh," are you into *gulp* incest?" i ask edging myself closer to the tree's trunk so I can escape at the right time."How does the answer? He starts laughing, full on -tears coming out of his eyes- laughing.
"This is not funny!" I say as I grab onto the tree trunk readying myself to jump down.
"No *laugh* I'm not into incest I just thought it would be funny to see if the new girl would be as gullible as she looks." he says in between laughs.
"Oh."" we've only known each other for a few days, don't believe everything of first impressions"
"Yeah but I thought-"
"You thought wrong but for the record I'm- it doesn't matter."
"no, no, no please continue you were saying you were so-" before I could finish the word 'apology' I was hanging head first from the tree with only his hand holding all my weight around my ankle. He was really strong to say the least, from what I could see his veins were pulsing and I could feel the strength of his hand and upper arm around my small ankle.
Soon reeling me up and placing me beside him.
"Uh, thanks" is all I manage to get out of my mouth.
"Well football does have its advantages" he cheered "So.. Friends still?"
"We'll see"
"Okay then... lets go" he says before he wipes his blond hair out of his face and graceful jumps down from the tree leaving me to find a new way down.
