Love story

I don't know why I was feeling like this. He'd never go for someone like me. I'm a killer, or at least that's what he's called me. I'm not the girl to take home to mom and dad and I'm certainly not the girl Mr. Stark would ever spend a moment with let alone the rest of his life and yet, here I stood in his white button up staring out the window out at the rest of manhattan. The sun was shining in through the windows and tony was still asleep. Well at least I thought he was till I felt him kiss my neck and wrap my arms around my waist.

"You look beautiful."

I smiled then turned and wrapped my arms around his neck, "I never thought I'd be here."

"Here?"

"I thought I'd spend my life in hiding. Running away and always looking over my shoulder. Then all that changed when I woke up in that park 6 years ago. I fell in love with incredible guy and right now standing here with him."

"And?"

"I couldn't be happier."

He smiled then leaned down and kissed me.

"Don't tell Cap but he scares me."

He laughed, "why?"

"His golden child spirt in admirable-"

Tony interrupted me by placing his finger over my lips, "shhh. Your secrets safe with me," he smiled again.

"Good," I kissed him, "now Mr. Stark. What do you want to do today?"

He smiled, "get dressed in that beautiful blue one you got for your birthday. Were going out."

"Ok."

He took my hand and we walked to the bathroom.

"I'll hopefully be back before you take a shower. I needed to meet golden boy down on fifth and main for something."

"Oh, darn. I was hopping we could," I walked into the bathroom slowly then rounded the corner, "well that you would join me," I dropped his shirt on the floor.

He laughed as I turned on the water and got in the shower. Seconds later he joined me, "you know my weakness."

I smiled at him, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Ok, let me remind you," he kissed my neck, "it's you."

I smiled.

--- TONY'S POV ---

I was putting on the jacket to my suit when Maria walked out.

"Mind zipping me up?"

She walked over and stood in front of me, "Of course."

She turned around and smiled, "so what am I supposed to do till you get back."

"That's up to you," I kissed her then headed to the elevator, "I'll be an hour tops."

"Ok. have fun with Steve."

I walked into the elevator then smiled at her before the doors shut.

--- FIFTH AND MAIN ---

"you kept me out here for an hour."

"I know and I'm sorry Steve."

"So why am I here."

I looked at him as we walked into the jewelry store, "you're the closest thing I have to a friend and a brother."

"Thanks."

The ring was already in a box waiting. the clerk said, "congratulations Mr. Stark."

"Thank you."

Steve and I left then went and got in the limo.

--- AT RESTAURANT ---

"i cant believe it took this long to plan out all of this?"

"Several months. Steve I haven't felt like this around anyone before."

"That's saying a lot."

"I know and tonight I want everything to be perfect."

"It will be. Everyone's here and the last thing you needed to do was get the ring."

"Do you think it's to much?"

"To much?"

"This is just right for you. Tony everything's going to be fine. If she loves you like I know you love her then you'll be great."

I smiled. Steve went and got the others in there places. As if it was a normal restaurant. Minutes later Miria walked in.

"So why all the hush hush?"

Steve and Thor walked out holding the banner I ordered.

"We've spent years of fighting over stupid things, we've nearly killed each other but yet when I look at you I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you," I got down on my knee and opened the small box to show the ring, "would you make me the happiest man in the world," Steve and thor dropped the sign, "and agreeing to marry me?"

--- MARIA'S POV ---

I stood there in shock.

"I never thought I'd see myself here. I never thought in a million years that I'd be standing here in front of a handsome man and him asking me to be his wife."

"And your answer," he took the ring out and placed it on my finger. I pulled him up of the ground then smiled and said, "yes. A thousands times yes."

He smiled them we kissed.

"I love you Maria Barnes."

"And I love you Anthony Stark."
