Misunderstood

Lost

They say that when a city falls, millions of lives are lost. But they don't understand that living without your soul because your heart is lost, is so much worse. They don't care that you're living with your mind running on a constant loop of what ifs, just trying to find the one thing that could lead you back to that in which you have lost. They believe that if something happens, it is fate. But fate is just a word to place the blame for what has happened in life. Whether we are to blame, or they are, is rather irrelevant. What is disheartening is that they'd rather place the blame on each other, than to own up to the pain that they've caused another.
