Switching on my phone,the following morning, I found some gossips in my school's group chat on WhatsApp about Jayden and Layla, that they had sex and how the whole school were praising them as the 'perfect couple', saying that they were perfect for each other, Jayden being the hottest guy in school and Layla who's considered the sexiest in school. After reading those comments, I just rolled my eyes as it didn't surprise me.
My normal routine followed, and was already in the first class for 30minites when Jayden entered. He's always late and no one says anything about it.
"Mr williams, why are you late?". Alexis asked Jayden. Oh how I love that question. Mr Jordan Alexis is my favorite teacher here, he's the youngest teacher here as he's 21. Every time I'm down and try to mask it, he comforts me like he knows me my whole life.
"I'm sorry?". Hayden asks to confirm if he was seriously being asked that question as no other teacher dared.
"You heard me right Mr Williams. But if you need me to repeat myself, i will, why are you late?". He replied again and jayden's expressionless face looked like blood had been drained from it, I'm sure he's mad now.
"I just didn't feel like coming in early". He answered and lexis replied.
"You shouldn't deem yourself too high cos of your status, instead you should prove yourself worthy of that status. You may take your seat". He said and jayden just sat angrily .
"Morning". He greeted, wait what! What just happened. I didn't reply cos I was really confused, i feel like I just heard him greet me.
"Good morning miss". Chris added. "Oh hi Chris and you know you can call me Adriana". I replied but our conversation was cut short by furious Jayden.
"I just greeted but you didn't answer". Jayden said loudly, that I had to look up to check if Alexis noticed but he didn't.
"Really? I didn't hear you". I lied but there's still some truth in it cos I initially thought he wasn't talking to me as in why would he greet me when we are always fighting 'arguing'
"You surely heard me, I'm sitting right beside you. I don't just greet anyone and when I do, I demand a response". He said firmly and Chris adjusted to get some distance away from us.
"I'm not one of your subjects you know". I said as I jotted things down from what Alexis was saying.

After class, I went to my locker to get my books for the next class which was in 15 minutes. Just as I was about to lock it, Jayden held my wrist.
"Hey, watch it, we're not close enough to be this touchy. Let go of me". I said, struggling to get free from his hold but he held tighter.
"You've been getting on my nerves for a while now, I really don't know what to do with you". He said looking straight into my eyes and I did the same until he broke it.
"Let her go Williams". Alexis said and I smiled so wide he always comes to my aid, cos I really need saving right now.
"This is none of your business". He said to Alexis still holding my wrist .
"Of course it's my business since we're not just in a teacher and student relationship". He said, making me also confused.
"Let me go". I said as he released me.
I went over to Alexis and hugged him saying thank you, the little trifle we had had already brought the attention of many students in the hall. I turned back to look at Jayden but he was already far down the hallways.
"Did he hurt you?". He asked, looking all over me like he was looking for something.
"No, I'm fine". I told him rolling my eyes. He's always so dramatic.
"Alright, but let e know whenever he troubles you". He said patting my hair.
"Okay. You're the best". I say, giving him a bear hug. He's the big brother I never had, as much as I try to stay neutral and not show feelings, i can't help but act like a little girl around him.
After he walked away, the Bell indicating the second class has started rang and I headed for class. The whole day went on like every school day just that Jayden was doing his shit with Layla more often. Like they were sucking each other's faces and doing 'stuff' every 10 seconds. I'm so grossed. Why does he have to look at me when doing it. Eeew.
Its almost prom and I can't wait. In Broadway High, prom is the last party (send off) for us graduating students. I really can't wait to graduate and leave this school, Jayden and other crazy people. I also wanna be a little free from my mom and her rules, and also wanna live and enjoy my life.
"Mom! I'm home!". I yelled as I came into the house, but I got no response. "Mom!". I yelled, getting scared cos its unusual for her not to answer and I'm sure she's home. I walked to the dining room, and saw my mom in a state I never thought I would. she was unconscious.
