I tried sleeping in, in an attempt to skip school but unfortunately I woke up early and being me, I never sleep back once I'm awake.
I really didn't want to go to school with a bruise on my lip, it looked terrible, and I really care about my appearance.
"Good morning sweetie, aren't you gonna dress up for school?". My mom calls from the door after knocking. I remained silent. "I know you're awake, so answer me".
"Mom, I'm going to school". I groan, standing up to bathe and dress up, I try my best to cover up my bruised lip with concealer. I really wouldn't want my mom to see that bruise, she may act all prim and proper all the time, but she really cares.
I came down knowing she would've gone to the hospital, and just took an apple.

On getting to class, I bumped into Jayden's rock hard chest, almost making me bounce back but he held me firm preventing me from falling. I tried getting out of his grasp but he wouldn't budge, he just kept looking at me, as if inspecting it.
"Why is your lip swollen". He asked after releasing me.
"Its not swollen and its none of your business even if it is". I tell him, turning my back to walk away.
"It is my business... I wouldn't want an ugly seat partner beside me". He said smirking and I turned back flashing him a wide smile that it hurt.
"Then get yourself another partner, Prince Jayden". I said as I walked away.
I got to class and he came in after the teacher had already started teaching, throughout the class, I couldn't help but notice that he was stealing glances but I ignored him.
Jayden's P. O. V
I woke up this morning eager to go to school, I don't know why but I wanted to go to school early.
As soon as I entered the hallways, I bumped into Adriana, I caught her cause she lost her balance but after I looked at her face, I noticed that she applied makeup, making her beautiful face look more beautiful. I wanted to hold her, because her body was so soft and she was so small compared to me who's 6'4feet tall.
She protested but I didn't release her, I immediately knew that I had to find something to say, so I noticed the swelling at the side of her lip.
"Why is your lip swollen?". I asked releasing her.
"Its not swollen and its none of your business even if it is". She said, I felt a little weird at her statement as in why is she not as affected as the other girls, she's always attacking me, even when I try to be nice to her.
"It is my business, I wouldn't want an ugly seat partner beside me". I said in an attempt to hurt her feelings but nah, she gave me a wide smile and said "Then get yourself another partner, prince Jayden". Those words hurt, I don't know why but I'm affected by her words.
Then Chris asked me "do you like her?". It was really funny. I found her annoying yet amusing, I'm sure I don't like her.
"I don't". I answered him.
"Then why are you so affected? ". He asked again.
"I'm not affected, why do you ask?"...
"You're frowning deeply right now when you we're smiling earlier, and you answer her every word and try to prove your point, when normally, you walk away when you don't want to answer a question". Chris said, and truly, all he said was right am I really affected by her.
Priiiiiiin priiiiiiing. I was calling layla, the head cheerleader and school slut, I really wanted to get Adriana outta my system.
"Hello, sweetheart, you want me to come over?". She purred from the other end.
"Yes". I answered and cut the call,before she said anything.
She come almost immediately, and we had sex in the janitor's closet, it was just like any other sex I've had but I have to admit, she's good in bed but it just felt empty.
How would Adriana be in bed, would she be this good?. Yeah, she should, her mouth is like razor, so I'm sure she has had sex before, virgins are quite modest and calm, the direct opposite of her. 'Wait, why am I thinking of how good she would be in bed?ugh'.
"Jayden, I've got news". Chris said, and I'm sure he's talking about what I asked him to find out.
"What is it?". I asked already anxious.
"The bruises on Adriana's body was gotten from last night, where she had a struggle with a man, I think a robber. She broke his leg, and got those bruises on her". He said, and I was shocked cos she looked fragile though with a venomous mouth.
"I've always thought she was strange but yeah, she's awesome, how did someone of her tiny frame beat a man and break his l... "I was saying, when I saw Chris smiling at me. "What?, why are you smiling like that".
"You're praising her, you, prince Jayden Williams. You that always find faults in everything is actually praising her. Someone's in love". He teased, and I suddenly became furious. I'm royalty, and we don't really believe in love as our marriages are mostly arranged.
"You're saying nonsense. You know I don't believe in love, I'm quite taken aback by her actions and behavior but love? Nah, I don't even like her". I said to him, and he still has that smiley look on his face.
"Cut the crap already". I said in a serious gone with a frown, this was already getting me pissed.
I don't like her, I'm sure of it.
