I think that both you and I can agree that my London trip was anything but fun. I thought I’d have an enjoyable time, but looking back on last week’s earlier events already tells me that it was far away from exciting. The week seemed to last forever, even if I was really busy with another photo shoot, an interview, and a surprise press conference with Olivia and Pearce. But as a celebrity you have to fake a smile and cover up as best you can so no one knows what really is going on with you. Not like anyone cares anyways.
“Are you planning on doing the upcoming drama from Mr. Shaver?” Powell asks me. I ponder on it for a moment. All throughout my week of London -other than Harry’s previous moments with me- David Shaver’s movie offer to me was definitely tempting and sticking in my head, invading most of my thoughts. All I thought about was the pros and cons of it. I’d have to stay in London for a really long time, but I wouldn’t be playing a bitch. I might be able to Rick with me, but I might not. But perhaps separation from Rick would be a good thing right now. But then I’d be stuck with the fact that I could run into Harry anywhere I went, and I’d really rather not talk to him again after what I just said to him.
“I think I might, does he need to know soon?” I ask Powell, even though I already knew the answer. Mr. Shaver stuck to his words of mailing me details and they came the day before the travel day back to Los Angeles. The movie was titled “Caught in the Mist” and already by that I could tell it would be a peaceful and non-murderous movie. He also included the summary of the movie, contact information, filming location addresses, a list of the current cast (including Olivia and a bunch of other people who I had never heard of), and the schedule of when and where we’d be filming. I thought it sounded pretty cool and fun to do a drama; it would be a nice change from the horrors. From what I read from the brief summary, it looked like it would turn into a really nice and perhaps a tear-jerking movie. But I had to contact him by Saturday (It was Wednesday today) if I wanted to do it. And I’m starting to think that I should take the part, but I had to ask Rick first.
“End of the week Erin; my preference is that you should do it. Give you a better image…” He trails off completely at a loss of words. But I knew what he meant. I nod.
“I think so too, I’ll try to contact him when I can,” I say as the car takes a turn into our long driveway and stop in front of Rick and I’s house. As much as I loved my house in London, this was my real home and I was really glad that I was back here.
“Good, now all you have this week is a magazine interview/photoshoot tomorrow, and then you’re free until the next movie, if you decide to do it,” Powell says as I start to get out of the car.
“Thanks Powell,” I say as I shut the door. I turn around and face Rick running up to the car to retrieve my luggage from the driver who was already unloading them from the trunk.
“Hey,” I greet him as he slings my duffel over his shoulder. He looks over at me and smiles.
“Hey babe,” He says. “Trip go okay?” I nod.
“Yeah, it was fun,” I lie. “How’s the house?” I ask him.
“Good, Ridley’s doing well too,”
After he brought the rest of my luggage in and carried it upstairs, I immediately start to unpack to give me something to do other than bring up Rick and I’s previous conversation. He didn’t ever call me after that fight, and I was a little mad at him for not calling me at all to try and fix things. Rick sat on our bed and watched me in complete awe and entertainment as I raced around my room putting things back and organizing them to make sure they were in the exact position as I left them.
“Aren’t you tired?” he asks.
“Nope,” I answer him shortly, folding my black sweater that had a small coffee stains on it. God damn it, really? I could feel my nostrils flare as I threw it into the washer in another room.
