I knew Chris' mom was gonna be happy, but my parents were a different story. After I told them, no one said anything. I was more afraid of silence than words.
"Say something please?"
"I don't know what to say.." My mom spoke up. "I'm gonna be a grandma!" She half smiled.
"Ma?" Chris asked. "You okay?"
"Well yeah.." She smiled. "I'm happy for you two, just a little worried.."
"Why?" I asked.
"Chris is going on tour soon, plus you're pregnant. I just think its gonna cost a lot of stress.." She said.
"I agree with Joyce.." My mom said. "I'm happy but that is a lot of responsibility.."
"Dad?" He was quiet.
"I wish it could've waited until after you two were married but things happen." He finally spoke. "You two are both very smart young people and I know the love is there so I'm happy for you guys."
"We know its gonna be hard but its worth a try isn't it?" Chris said. "I know we're gonna make great parents."
"You guys are right.." Mama J said. "If you ever need anything, I'll fly to you in a heartbeat!"
This exactly what we need, happiness. Our parents were happy for us so I was satisfied. Yes for course its gonna be hard but how could it not? We both have crazy lives but it will work.
