"He's gonna be alright Leeyah, okay?" I tried to reassure my best friend that everything would be okay but deep down, we both knew it wouldn't be.
Something was wrong with Laith. He was sick and he could barely breathe. He won't keep down his food and Lee is in serious panic mode. Not to mention, Cecelia was crying up a storm.
I guess its a twin thing.
"What if they can't fix him?" She sobbed. She's been crying nonstop since we've been here. "What if something serious is wrong with my baby boy?" I've never seen Leeyah like this, ever. Being that no one could get in touch with Chris, this made it worst on her.
I wanted to speak up but the doctor came and we all but ran to him. "Ms. Moore, can I speak with you for a second?" The doctor spoke and Lee got up. I was scared as shit right about now. What was he gonna tell her? What was happening?

It turned out that Laith was just allergic to an ingredient in the new baby food Lee's been giving them. The doctor gave him some meds so he should be back normal in no time.
I was more than happy to hear that.
"Ma you got in touch with Chris?" Leeyah's parents agreed to come to their house and help her with the twins. Mama and I are gonna go over there later to check on them.
"Yeah he said he'll try to work some things out so he could get home.." I saw something in her eyes that told me other ways. The same look Lee had in hers earlier.
She was fed up.
She was done.
Was she done? Or was her eyes holding idle threats that she's never go through with.
Either way, I hope he gets there in time..
