I pulled at the chain holding me keeping me rooted in my spot but to no avail. Sighing in frustration, I waited for someone to come through the prison doors and release me. And soon enough, a guard unlocked the chain and escorted me towards my brother.
"Seriously? You just had to get in trouble didn't you?" My brother chastised me.
"It's not my fault that the butt-face was being such a jerk." I retorted. My brother simply sighed and brought me back home.
"Look. I've got to get back to training the newbies on how to sword fight, and I've left Rogers in charge while I had to get you out. Again. Please don't get in trouble. For me. Please?" He gave me puppy dog eyes, and I couldn't resist.
"Fine, but only for you." The dork gave me a goofy grin and placed a slobbery kiss on my cheek. I shot a glare at him and went to swat his shoulder only for him to move out the way and run back onto castle grounds. I wiped off my brother's slobber off my cheek and went to clean up. After wiping off the remains off the chain off my ankle, I left the house and locked the door. As I walked over to the barn, I plucked an apple off an unsuspecting marketer and slid it into one the pockets on me. I whistled a random tune as I strolled down the street. Eventually, I reached the barn and strutted my way over to the horses. I reached my favourite horse and greeted her with a warm smile.
"Hey Nari. How are you?" The white furred horse shook out her brown mane and snorted happily. I grinned goofily at her and fished out the apple from my pocket. I tossed it at her, and the cheeky horse caught it with her mouth. She greedily chewed on the apple and swallowed it.
"Spoiling Nari again I see?" I whirled around to see the horse manager smiling down at me. I mocked innocence, "Me? Spoil Nari? Never in my wildest dreams." Nari snorted at my mock innocence, and I stuck my tongue at her.
"I'm going to guess you didn't buy that apple." He said.
"I can't believe you think so lowly of me, Nathan!" I pretended to be hurt and placed a hand over my heart in mock betrayal. He simply chuckled at me grabbed my arm and pulled me in for a kiss.
"You just had to be caught by the guard, didn't you?" He murmured to me quietly. I rolled my eyes at my concerned boyfriend, "The chain in the dungeon just wouldn't be the same without me. Besides, you know my brother would get me out. He is the captain of the royal guards."
"I know, but still. It's disconcerting." I rolled my eyes and grabbed a fistful of his shirt and pulled him in for another kiss. Suddenly, he pulled away and grabbed something out his pocket and fell down onto a knee.
"I really want to marry you, but I can't afford a ring. However, this necklace has been in my family for generations and now I want to give it to you as a marriage proposal." My eyes widened in shock, and tears filled my eyes.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! I'll marry you!" He smiled happily at me and kissed me. After the kiss, he placed the necklace around my neck. It was a simple chain, but was so beautiful. I smiled tearfully at him and pulled him in for another kiss. He stayed there and only when we needed air did we pull away from each other. Then, he looked questionably at me.
"How are we going to tell your brother?"
