I was walking back home from school quickly; I didn't want to encounter the bullies. But, when has anything I ever wanted actually happen? The sun shone on my face as I walked past an alleyway after school when a hand grabbed the back of shirt and pulled me into the alley. I was thrown against the red brick wall of the alley and groaned in pain. A hand grabbed the front of my green shirt and pulled me close to the bully's face.

"Hey freak." I winced at the nickname they had given me last year. The leader who grabbed my shirt threw me onto the ground, which had mud everywhere. I thudded painfully onto the paved cement, and my back sang with pain. I whimpered pathetically, and the bullies laughed at my agony.

"Come on, freak. Get up!" One of the cronies jeered. I wobbly stood up onto my feet and leaned heavily against the brick wall. I blinked rapidly to clear the black dots on the edge of my vision, and before I could recover, one of them grabbed at my shirt and swung me against the opposite wall. I swore I heard a crack as I collided against the hard wall. I slumped down and fell down onto the muddy ground.

"I knew that you were pathetic, but I didn't know you were that pathetic." The leader sneered. They kicked straight in my ribs hard. This time I was sure one of my bones broke as tears filled my eyes and I mewled in pain. I curled up into a ball as they pummeled me with kicks and jabs of disgust.

"You're just some pathetic lowlife. You got it?" I could only nod weakly. The leader smirked triumphantly and kicked me again. The cronies laughed at me, and I stayed on the ground.

"Are you okay? Let me help you to the hospital!" A voice pierced through the laughs of the bullies and through my tearful eyes, I saw a person in front of me. Whether it was a boy or a girl, I couldn't tell through my slightly swollen eyes, and the tears in my eyes. The bully stared at them in anger and threw a punch at them. They turned around but, unfortunately, was hit right in the face. They stumbled backwards and fell right on top of me. A growl left their throat. They turned towards me.

"Stay down, close your eyes, and cover your ears." They whispered quietly. I crouched down and covered my ears and squeezed my eyes shut while they turned around to face the bullies. After some time, I could hear the muffled sound of tortured screams and my stomach churned with bile. A few seconds later, something nice and warm picked me up and placed me down somewhere else. I opened my eyes and saw I was right outside the alleyway. But, around the alley was a wall of fire blocking anyone from coming in or out. As I heard the screams of the bullies, I couldn't help but feel a bit satisfied.

Now who's the pathetic one?

(A/N): Sorry. It's really bad.
