Fifteen: Poison

I watched as the black poison travelled across the man's body. He struggled and pulled uselessly at the bonds holding him down. His muffled screams made me grin as the man suffered under the poison's influence. The black toxin travelled all over his body until his body was almost entirely a black color. I watched as the white's of his eyes turned black as the poison took over his body. The man gave one more desperate tug at his bonds before his blackened and shrivelled hand stopped. I jotted down the effects of the poison in my notebook and called for the cleaning services to take away the body.

"That went well." I heard Ivy respond.

"Well of course it did. But the poison needs to be a little bit weaker. Although the sound of screaming is quite melodic, I need to torture out answers, not death." I walked down a dim hallway over to my lab.

"But why can't we kill more people?" Arsenic whined. I unlocked the doors to my laboratory and immediately got to work.

"You know why. Now please, shut up. No one likes you." Arsenic made a 'hmph' sound, but obediently shut up like I told her too. I continued to work at the poison, taking careful measurements and jotting down detailed notes when there was a knock on the door. I accidentally added a bit too much of the one powder and the poison in the tube churned upwards towards me. I quickly moved backwards to avoid killing me as the poison exploded upwards before settling down and spilling all over the table, disintegrating anything it touched.

"Hey, you good in there?" The person by the door asked.

"I was fine until you startled me." I snapped at the man. They flinched and looked down submissively.

"Sorry. I was told to check up on the poison." The man asked quietly.

"It'll be done as soon as I get a new laboratory." I told the man. He nodded at me and grabbed his walkie talkie to inform the custodians to clean up my laboratory. I walked out of the room and headed towards a new lab to work on the poison.

After some time, I had finally finished another poison. Hopefully, one that will actually get answers out of our prisoners. Only one way to find out.

"Send Subject 250 into Room V7 for testing." I heard a confirmation for that and gathered the poison and my notebook and headed down towards the room V7. When I reached the testing area there was already a woman strapped down onto the testing table screaming muffled curses at me and struggling against the bonds.

"Ooh. We got a feisty one!" Ricin exclaimed.

"Yes, we do." I pulled out the poison from my pocket and inserted it into a needle. Then, I stuck the needle into the subjects forearm and pushed down on the handle. The woman instantly screamed out in pain and attempted to get away from the poison inside her. I rolled my eyes at her and waited. When it looked like they weren't going to die, I pulled out the cloth in her mouth.

"You're crazy." She panted out, unable to catch her breath from the poison running through her.

"Thank you." Cyanide chirped.

"Shut up, Cyanide." I snapped. The woman looked at me.

"Who're you talking to?" Her voice brought my attention to her. She looked bewildered that she had just asked that.

"What the?" She said. I simply flashed a grin at her and jotted down some notes before leaving.

"Bring the first interrogative to the room. The poison worked." I spoke into the walkie-talkie. I hear an affirmative response. And I smile.
