❝You don't have the right to be upset by my emotions when you're the one who toyed with them in the first place.❞

The three of us ended up at a local cafe, they were still serving breakfast by the time we got there. We sat together in a small corner of this very old rustic cafe. The walls were lined with various books on display. The smell of freshly ground coffee beans and the smell of old books engulfed us when we first walked in. Once we settled in our seats, the waitress that showed us our table came back with some menus.
"Here you go, call me when you're ready to order," she said, placing the menus in front of us.
I quickly grabbed one of the menus, my fingers gently flipping through the pages. My eyes carefully scan the various dishes that the cafe has to offer. My eyes landed on the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, that sounded great. I nudged Mason who was sitting to my left, he switched his attention from the menu to me. "Hey, I'm going to get the eggs benedict," I told him.
He scoffed at my choice. "I see you're still in your eggs benedict phase. How long has it been now?" he teased. I playfully slapped his arm.
"It hasn't been that long," I protested. "Almost a month now," I shyly mumbled.
Mason and I were joking around, completely forgetting that Andrei had joined us. Both of us stopped laughing at our inside jokes, looking back at our menus. "What are you getting?" I asked Mason, peering over his shoulder to see what he was considering. His fingers pointed to the big breakfast which consisted of sausages, eggs, hashbrown, tomatoes and mushrooms.
"You hungry, buddy?" I joked, looking at the large quantity of food that was listed under the 'big breakfast'.
"Obviously," he smirked. "What are you ordering?" Mason looked towards Andrei.
I shift my focus to Andrei who was sitting in front of Mason and me. "I'll order the eggs benedict as well," he said, narrowing his eyes on me. His hazel orbs concentrated on me, making myself feel naked under his gaze. I shifted awkwardly and broke eye contact with him. Why did he always have to stare at me like that? It was unnerving, to say the least.
"You going through an eggs benedict phase as well?" Mason teased Andrei. He chuckled. "I guess this one," he gently nudged my shoulder. "Is rubbing off on you."
